Its possible she was just too hopeful and didn't, but the pair figured out what was going on when the things needed for the ritual got taken.

Re: Spinnerette

As I mentioned previously, a friend of mine hosted the first annual "Web Comics Con" in Norwalk CT today and yesterday. I had the previledge of meeting Spinnerette author Krazy Krow, a very nice guy IRL, and learned some awesome things:

-First and foremost, the best news - normally and obviously I wouldn't have asked, but after he ended up co-hosting a fun little midnight panel about internet porn, during which he commented both on the fact that Spinnerette ended up on a list of the 10 sexiest web comics (he placed 2nd with a NON-porn comic!) and that he's rather flattered that his work would be considered sexy, even being involved in a "Rule 34" pic he showed us, I had to know. So after the panel I pulled aside for a private conversation and asked if he knew about The Process.

Not only DOES he know about us and this thread, HE'S TOTALLY COOL WITH IT!! Now, I'm pretty much assuming that this whole thing is a happy accident - he just likes making fantasy elements that happen to coincide with our tastes, but he has no real inclination towards the material in a sexual way - but he did also mention some of the conversations here, including about our wanting "more process." I asked about possible future installments that might have tfs, like Spinnerette mutating further, causing her to go Man-Spider or shrink to spider size. He had actually considered either option, but nothing is definite. We ended the talk on good terms (as far as I can tell), with him saying that things will happen only when it becomes vital to the story and I replying that I and everyone here would never mean to impose on his work, but that we're rooting for him all the same.

-I think it's a category here, but just in case your interested: he says the next chapter (apparently after the Drider battle wraps up) will involve a Canadian supervillain converting everyone through mind-control.

-The new realistic art style is temporary: the original artist will return, I believe by the next chapter.

-For anyone still curious about Sahira, but as mentioned the book (which he sold at the con and is available on his site) gives an extra chapter about what happaned to her.

*Minor Spoiler*

She's basically Rogue now. According to Krow, she, like some other people, apparently harbor mutated genes, a fallout from the atomic bomb.

Finally, a very serious request, as a reminder for everyone who knows, news for those who don't, and an assurance to Mr. Krow should he be inclined to visit here again: As great as it is that he's apparently ok with our feelings toward his work, fetish or otherwise, please: DO NOT SPAM HIM ASKING FOR FETISH REQUESTS! Aside from the fact that this behavior has had very negative results for EVERYONE in the past, he as an artist deserves respect like everyone else and his work should get the chance, and in my opinion demands, to be viewed for it's own merits in terms of style, humor, and creativity, of which many of us can agree it has in abundance.

Sorry for taking so long, but I thought you'd like to know. And if Krazy Krow is indeed reading this: Thank you for the wonderful work. I and everyone here eagerly await the next updates.

Just to set the record straight, does "Keep up the good work!" count as a request?

That seems to be what the SERIOUSLY Anti-climatic ending indicates.

If so I second it

I wonder if the level of pornification of Spinerette is a good thing, given Krow's had to PG-13 his site and forums after his advertisers kicked up a ruckus and slashed his rates :(

Of course if more people bought the book or donation wallpapers...

I...actually like the ending to Chapter 7. Spinerette gets a real, definite loss. And, Evil Spinerette...has interesting characterization.

Judging by the way she acted...I'm betting that it was NOT all an act.

And I highly doubt we've seen the last of Evil SP. That last line makes it sound like she considers SP a rival of sorts. Maybe she'll pull a Vegeta and switch sides at some point?

I'm curious about what the minions think, they didn't seem to be all that clued into the plot, did they know they were leaving town?

Possibly but they most likely thought that they'd be leaveing Heather behind dead or badly beaten.

And all those who indicated they would buy a ebook but not a print copy, time to put your money where your mouth is. Heck, if your super-cheap you can also just buy the book exclusive Chapter 5:

It looks like there is going to be some more transformation in the comic. Heather got zapped by the infusion chamber laser again during a fight and she seems to be mutating again.
