Hmm.. so she has 10 limbs now? That's not how spiders work, maybe her legs will fall off like what's her name's did?

Hmmm. Scorpions have ten limbs and are classified as arachnids.

Eleven actually, counting the tail. But the arachnid classification isn't given by number of limbs, it's the number of legs specifically. If it has 8 legs, 2 arms, a tail and 4 wings it's still an arachnid based on the leg count alone.


Technically Spinny isn't an arachnid at all, she doesn't meet any of the qualifications, she only has two legs and she's not an anthropod.


I know, and for a while it would redirect me there. I couldn't get there with the new link either. For the past few weeks I couldn't access it without going through a proxy. But now, suddenly and randomly it works again like it's supposed to.

edit: and then it didn't. I'm not sure what the issue is but their server and my ISP aren't getting along right now

They have the same number as spiders. Spider pedipalps (the fang-like "jaws" of the spider) are homologous to the pincers of the scorpion. Both are modified legs. Spinny should be grateful that she doesn't have arms on the side of her face. :p

What she should be thankful for is that her face doesn't go between her boobs, the position of pedipalps makes a lot more sense when you realize that a spider doesn't really get a distinct head separate from its torso (thorax)

Regarding scorpions, Dr. Lambha did mention them way back in the first issue.

Are other people still having problems visiting the Spinnerette site? I knew of the address change (even changed the link on my links page), and it worked at first. But now I haven't been able to visit the site for weeks. I always get a message saying the site can't be found. I haven't even seen the comic above about the extra two arms.
