Ah this artist, got him/her bookmarked.
Something I've also seen going on more recently is the tag E-mote maker (google it) which apparently is some sort of programme that allows you to animate your character.

Gif is also a nice tag to look for animations although it's best to add gif to any kanji tag that you can find for specific characters. Just google a shows name, look for the character list, then copy paste the characters name (the one in kanji) as a tag.
That's how I find stuff. Just randomly looking for things is fun too though, but that's mostly hit and miss and you'll come across the same things multiple times under different tags.

I took a look at the source. They're splitting the GIF into multiple frames and displaying it on a canvas (iterating through frames with javascript) to keep people from saving it as one image; you'd have to get very lucky and open each separate frame, save them, and then recombine them into a GIF.

Also the easy way to save the gifs from pixiv is to use the source,search line named "zip"then copy the lines and get rid of all the / slashes then copy and paste in open window.Now download refcontrol to save the zip file with all the images...
