I'm never afraid of big scary predators because it's just not gonna happen to me really. There aren't tigers or anything outside, after all. But some lethal bacteria getting into food is a bit more plausible.

Germophobia is way worse for your health than actual germs will ever be.

I never understand people like that. You live in conditions about as clean and healthy as they can get and yet they act like they're living in the slums of Calcutta. o.O

Honestly, this isn't uncommon. This type of scene has been used in many cartoons back in the day.

That's bullocks. The fact there are symbiots and mitochondria is not a reason to be worried about pathogens.

That's like telling someone not to be worrid about homicidal maniacs because there are lots of normal people around. The threat still exists.

I don't think he was saying that the threat didn't exist, I think he was saying that you should keep it in perspective. deadly virii and bacterium make up some .001% of all species of bacteria.

Plus certain bacteria that naturally exist in our bodies that are deadly, such as E. coli, do no harm so long as they remain in certain areas and are actually helpful to us (E. coli, for example, helps in digestive processes and, if memory serves, helps to break down otherwise-indigestible substances like fiber).

The little buggers are something to worry about, but I'd be more worried about stubbing my toe than dying from a bacterial infection.
