I like to think the mind is altered while he/she is a sobbing heap on the floor. Once the mistress (from part 1) arrives, the demoness side recognizes her, and the confusion is gone. I hope it wasn't too vague, as I like to keep a lot of that stuff visual, rather than having characters in a comic narrate themselves. (Ah! I'm growing boobs and now a tail! And horns! Arrrrgh!)
