The Legendary DragoonGTS...

I second every word of that wall of text. Very few outlets and payment options are available for adult content creators, especially in niche fetish themes. So yes, Patreon.

I mean, sure... bondage, latex domination those paraphylias have plenty of viewership and sampling the content to Redtube or pornhub will draw customers to paysites.

Our community is quite small, artists are few and most original themes, even those that might be punishable by law in some countries, have been exploited and repeated.

So what is going top happen? Well, the same stuff will reappear, either with a twist or in a new medium. That's what we see in the theaters.

Will it be VR?
Will it be autoerotic tantric growth meditation? (Hey, this one hasn't been done!)

I can't speak for other content creators but we, at giantessfan.com, are still releasing comics and commissioned pinups on a regular schedule. We continue to release sequels to our popular series -- like A Weekend Alone -- as well as introducing one-shot comics intermittently.

Piracy has always been a problem. We do what we can to take down pirate sites that host our content illegally but we mostly focus on creating value for our fans, so that they're more inclined to pay for our content. Seems to be working! ;)

I think because most of giantess content makers are not faithful to giantess way.
Many of them changed their way just for more money by making other stuff instead of improving giantess works , like making small women , giant men , extreme muscle growth , Vore and ...
but some artist Like Dragoon have their way from the first till now and their works are lovely anytime because they are moving on a line and try improving it everyday not adding more themes and stories and ... only for more money ,and artists like Dragoon or Bmtbguy or ... understand art ;)

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I suspected that was one of the reasons people were flocking to Patreon but it's nice to know for sure.

While I can understand your frustration at some of the cross-fetish creep (shrunken man is not the same as GTS, sorry), what people are into is not as black-and-white as you may think. Lots of fans of giantess and growth content are also into BE, FMG, expansion, furry, and I'm sure some others out there that I know nothing about.

This stuff takes a lot of time and effort to create (people who have never tried making a comic or poser sequence have no idea how long it takes), for artists trying to make a living or partial living off their work the extra income from mixing genres can make the difference between continuing on or having to get a "real job."

I will vouch for this. People overlook the time it takes to make stuff. My recent video took 7 months. Is that length of time bad? Of course. I know how hard it is to wait for something. But there's very little I can do, to speed it up. If you want quality work. It takes time. Especially if it's just one person doing everything.

I'mma third that. Making comics (or any other content worth a damn) is often a long, involved, expensive process, and you just can't truly appreciate that if you've never been on the production side.

Even with the benefit of several writers and editors, a workspace specifically designed for facilitating comics production, and a large stable of artists (like we have at Interweb), it STILL isn't easy or cheap.

I never told sell contents cheap or free, a good work is priceless.
but i mean it's better focus on the giantess and growing women and make them better and sell them more expensive instead of adding for example giant male to it just for some more sales! you can sell it more expensive and make a unique giantess work instead of normal comic with various themes in a work ;)

I think people want more. Why shouls i (not me, in generale) pay for a comic of 20 pages with giantess appear in 4 pages?
People are not interested in stories or charachter. People want 20 pages of growth, clothes ripping, giantess sex and so on. Story and characters should be absolutely tertiary. Thats the point to begin selling more. The problem are the writers of these comics.

The problem is that when it comes to porn, this stuff simply doesn't sell as much. It's a niche market as it is.

And yeah, when most studios force themselves to go to straight up commissions, it tends to force content into a dry spell. Why? Because not a lot of people have the money to pay for commissions.

When it comes to expenses very few people have enough to make this fetish community a priority.

On the subject of porn, do you think non-porn giantess content would sell? Heard me out. I enjoy mainstream Giant content, a lot of times I feel they miss the mark like Attack of the 50ft Cheerleader or Downsizing.

Y'know, the thing both of you tripped over here (especially you, Genev) is equating what YOU want to see in a giantess comic with what EVERYONE wants to see.

Some people like giant men, or FMG, or whatever, in addition to giantess content. Some people actually do care whether there's a well-written story to go along with the fetish content. We all have different tastes, and you can't really fault content producers for making things with broader appeal.

Having said that, I will agree that it's really frustrating to buy a piece of content that's 80% setup/story and 20% fetish content. Happily, we at Interweb Comics know not to produce such works, and we make sure there's a fair amount of actual fetish content in every issue we release. It's a rule I've tried to stick to in the stuff I personally release as well. ^_^

I think it absolutely could, provided it's entertaining enough. Consider how successful the two Ant-Man movies have been. (Granted, part of that is because they're building on the established MCU, but still...) I mean, both of those movies have plenty of shrinking and growing in them, but they're also entertaining and well-made movies apart from that. The problem with something like Attack of the 50ft Cheerleader is that it's cheesy and low-budget. That kind of thing can still be entertaining for different reasons, but most of the time it's handled poorly enough that attempts at comedy fall painfully flat, drama seems hammy, and action feels stilted or dull.

I'd love to see a really talented writer and director take a giantess concept mainstream.

I can agree with this. I do like a good story. It's just that some times I want to get to the action. Can't always get what you want.

I don't think Hollywood would do a good job. It seems they can't make just a good movie. They have to inject in your face messages. But if they can I would want to see them remake this scene.

Personally I prefer stories that emphasize for the giant/growth content rather than the sex aspect. Or maybe I should say that I like the sexual content better when it happens naturally instead of the "I'm here to deliver your pizza, lets have sex" scenarios that we see so often.

Maybe that means I like GTS "erotica" rather than "porn"? I feel like the things that make the giantess fetish unique (the growth, clothes ripping, size comparisons, cramped spaces, and dealing with the real world implications of something as outlandish as someone's size having drastically changed) often get rushed or skipped over to get to the more traditional "porn action".

I guess I'm just weird that way. :)
