My problem with gaming - rather than gamers - is that we seem to be moving to a point where it's somewhat like the movie industry. It's not like the old days where some boffin could sit at is hot terminal for a few months and produce a game that was great and original.

Now we've got the likes of EA and... well, it's mostly just EA sitting there - buying up anyone that makes anything interesting and then choking the fucking life out of it. Nakeido (guy from #FTF10) pretty much bore out my suspicions of Spore - massive levels of dumbing down etc. And Mass Effect - while enjoyable - well... it wasn't exactly KoToR... although, that said Bioware made Jade Empire before and that was a joke.

I'm just bitter because the PC is being treated like a second class citizen in the gaming world these days. Bastards. Oh and the fact that pretty much every game now has to take over your computer.
