You could probably improve your drawing style, it's like you can't decide if your drawing "Super Hero" style or Realism. I would sujest trying and "Lock Down" what your going for. I sujest gathering your favoirt comic books/strips. and such trying to copy these styles, and learn to draw them.

You can then apply elements for thows styles to improve your work.

Well even though many fans didn't like the Enterprise series it DID answer why Klingons didn't have ridges in the original series but did after the movie. Basically a failed attempt to use the technology that created superhumans like Kahn to making super Klingons to help the species survive a disease running rampant, eventually they come up with a different cure that has the side effect of making the ridges dissolve. So the retcon says all Klingons in the original series where still being effected by the side effect. Apparently by the time of the movie the effects had worn off.
