There is that female werewolf movie coming out in the fall. So we will have to wait on that.

Re: Female Werewolf needles in a haystack

Couple not-so-obscure things that I haven't otherwise seen mentioned on the board:

1) https://www.deviantart.com/watch/mrc...ker/deviations - Has several excellent female werewolf TF stories over the last few years. Started doing early release for a small fee earlier this year, but has been quiet since (current early release is a werewoman TG, so buyer beware for those not interested in that particular genre). All the werewolf stories are free, though. Excellent, check it out if you haven't.

2) Really not obscure, as it's been a huge video game release, but "The Quarry" features burst werewolf transformation for those into that, and there are 3 on-screen female transformations pretty widely available on youtube. Going into more detail would constitute spoilers, but while the transformations themselves are meh for what I'm usually looking for, the build to the transformations isn't half bad.

I've seen The Quarry TFs. Horribly done, I must say... that way of showing the TF process could be justified because of the low budget in a live action werewolf movie, but in a video game it is absolutely shameful.

There's nothing shameful about it, it's no easier to achieve the effects for a werewolf transformation in a video game with models of this fidelity than it is to achieve it in a movie with access to a budget for CG. As someone who has dabbled briefly in game dev, the challenges would be immense, especially considering the number of transformations that exist in the game and that have differences thanks to the game's branching narrative. Game dev is a series of compromises and deciding what aspects need the most priority and I'm sure they did the best they could with what they had. Cut them some slack, despite their name they are not a massive studio for the number of titles they work on simultaneously.

One of the female TFs, if they can be called that, did have a bit of build up and was the only part I cared about. Apparently the two hotter ladies don't get transformations at all. One gets infected but there are no outcomes where she transforms, the other cannot even be infected, she just either lives or dies horribly in her different paths.

If nothing else, it looks like it'll be so dumb it's funny. What process was hinted at looks like it's more on the low budget end, but at least will have some effort put into it. I'll definitely give it a watch once it gets done with the festival circuit.

This is a great find. Part of me really wants to support this project, but 1) it seems we missed the deadline for funding it back in May (not sure why they didn’t use Kickstarter or Indiegogo; one of us probably would’ve spotted it there), and 2) as many people on this board have already said, I’ve been burned too many times with indie female werewolf projects that promise the moon and stars and fail to deliver. They say they’re inspired by “The Howling” and “AWIL,” they say they’re going to use 100% practical effects, and this project even says it will “make Rick Baker proud,” and then a few years later, the project comes out, and it’s a girl in fangs and claws (and sometimes not even that). I still may contact the production and throw in my 2 cents (or much more, as the case may be), but “once bitten, twice shy” comes to mind. Anyway, if nothing else, I’ll definitely check it out when it gets released. Again, thanks for the find.

Anyone know what’s going on with Viking Wolf? It’s been a year since they delayed it and we’re coming on the Halloween season and heard it’s supposed to come out this Nov? Anyone have any further info? I remember the director saying they were gonna wait a year then release because of Covid.

They announced it would be delayed to November 18, 2022 a year ago. We're all just waiting for the release date. With that said, it looks to be releasing in theatres in Norway first, so it may take even longer for an international release. (Though, that may not stop us from getting our hands on an early copy.)

I didn't know what you were talking about, but I looked it up, and he's watching Rose Crowley TFs. Not sure how I feel about this, since it's paid content, but he's commenting on it, so I guess that counts as fair use?

Rose has post a comment right there. The video is the one pirated that circulates all over Internet, so also the damage has been already done. I hope that this at least would generate some hype...

Lmfao this is one of those communities where it seems best to stay anonymous for the most part. Don’t want like bigger budget companies looking into this stuff and finding it then deciding to pull back on transformations scenes because of a community of “degenerates” the internet’s too aware now. At this point though I’m sure there’s a few of us that work in the industry now

To be honest, I wasn't really crazy about this upcoming movie, mostly because I'm not that attracted to the actress who turns into the werewolf (especially frustrating given her cute Asian friend is RIGHT THERE), but your comment about "hearing really good reviews about that transformation scene" intrigued me, so I did a bit of research, and indeed, every single review I've read mentions that the transformation scene is fantastic (or a similar positive modifier). Even the reviews that didn't like the actual movie say the transformation special effects are amazing. One even wrote, "Rick Baker would be proud." It's one thing for a Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaign to say that about their TF scene in order to promote their upcoming werewolf flick, but it's quite another for a reviewer who has no connection to the film to say it. Consider my interest piqued.

All tv werewolves look like that. And don’t forget they always have bushy eyebrows and incorporate a growl in their speech.

So i noticed that Lesuri-san's DeviantArt Page are nuked an unknown time ago, but I managed to save some TF from hers luckily enough since Nuked DA Pages are always gone and cannot be archived back unlike FA. I managed to salvage "Alice", "Pride Fighter" and "Leah" but only the last page of Leah is missing because back then I didn't think it matters, just a picture of her as a wolf. Still, it is still very good. So here you go, you can go to my Google Drive file here because I have no idea how to insert Pictures and RAR here. Enjoy it folks.
