Yeah, gore in fiction/fantasy is nothing to be upset over. As mentioned before, it's just an entertainment aesthetic. It's not some "serial killer indulgence" like what some over-sensitive types want to believe.

If you're shy to violence, advert your eyes and move on. The existence of violence in entertainment/fantasy is not worth being judgmental over.

Fyi, TF comic king, Manic, has a new she-wolfy comic for sale. As is typical of his stuff, the TFs are pretty awesome. Glad to see his werewolf character, The Vixen, play the main villain. And it leaves itself open for another wolfy edition next time.

Ya, you've gotta pay a few bucks for it. But given his long-time history in TF art -much of it free- he deserves the $$ support.

Yiffers?
You should see what goes for "transformation" these days in certain places of the internet. It seems like their definition of a werewolf is this:

Good find Baxter, I've been waiting for that one to be released.
It's a pretty good comic. It's got a female WW transformation and reversion, and a two instances of two women going through amazon transformations. All-in-all, a worthy buy.

That's not entirely a fair comparison. The MG Encyclopedia belongs to a very long running genre of erotica in japan. It helps to not think of these as monsters that are girls, but girls that are monsters. Valkyries and Witches are interchangeable with Catgirls and Naga in these kinds of things.

Perhaps, perhaps not. In any case in the New Mutants comics at least it was at least unusual for her to go full wolf. Also she was stuck in a hybrid form for a long while and was a sideshow freak in the Ultimate Universe. Combine that with the trend for Superhero movies to draw more from the source material...

She went full wolf much more often in the first half of the original run. One thing she didn't like about her wolf form was being unable to talk; having the animal telepath Dani Moonstar as a teammate alleviated that though. When Dani had to leave the team to serve as a valkyrie in Asgard (long story) Rahne started spending a lot less time as a full wolf.

Also, she wasn't so much stuck in her hybrid form as she didn't want to go full human as that would have meant reverting to a mutate slave brainwashed to be Havok's slave.
