Whoa. Alright, thanks, I got 'em all, you can take em down. Sorry, I should have been clearer; I just thought you'd send me like 4 or 8 files to get a feel for the effect- I'm not sure I can use even a fraction of these.

I'd rather you have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Do you know how to use selections and masks? I'm still figuring out masks myself; but on some of these you've sent me the 'wind' coming off the borders ruins the image.

Didn't do now. My solution before knowing this would have been to clone the image onto a new drawing avoiding the areas I didn't want.

In my program- Paintshop Pro 4- you can apply 'filters' (effects, etc) to just a selected area. That's how I added the colors in the first screen test.

what effect did you use to do that?

Try opening panel-04_nobubbles.png, then selecting everything but the outside border, and just sending me wind at 20% and 40%. Then open closeups-1.png, select just the areas inside the two close-up 'panel borders', and do the same percentages. That's just four files. For it to be useful you need to be able to completely avoid getting parts of the borders.

Understood, now that I know how to do partials I added 20% wind images as if the effect was traveling down his body, again let me know when you got them and I;ll remove them.

Wow, I do't log on for a week and all this happens. I've always wanted to play with making gifs, but have had difficulty finding software that worked well and was free. The main ones I've tried are GIMP, which arranges frames oddly, and isn't really made for gif making and a copy of paintshop my girlfriend gave me the disc for, but which I forgot to install animationshop from before giving the CD back.

And thanks flango and genderhazard for the gifs. They're pretty darn nifty.

Ran, I'm using the Microsoft Gif Animator that Karma mentioned a few pages back.
