While I'm not very impressed with the art of Amano Koori, he does exhibit pretty much a lot of the interests found on this board. I wouldn't be surprised if he lurks here. Anyway, you can buy his comics and stuff at DLSite:

This artist has a lot of weird things that used to be on his site, but they're not uploaded to Pixiv. He's particularly obsessed with breast expansion, needles, and belly button penetration. Relatively speaking, it's not gross, but also not for the faint of heart

Some explicit samples by each artist in order at the end of this post just to give you an idea. I think some people might have seen some of Toguchi Hajime's really, really old works floating around (He's been drawing since 2004 at least...). The images posted by Hajime are from this year. I really don't know if I'll compile and post every single relevant piece by Hajime, though it seems like he took down his older art. So maybe I can make an exception?

Samples (from left to right): Futon, Toguchi Hajime, and Yamikagura.

Re: Pixiv Community Artists

I've only seen a few threads on 4chan with Toguchi Hajime work, but never a link to his website. Although you need to use a Japanese proxy to view the site, as you said already, his older work is gone. It's too bad, because it wasn't half bad. Sure some of it was bit strange, but no worse than others that have been posted before. If you're willing to share Toguchi Hajime's artwork, I don't think many people would have any qualms with that

This is a random collection of Hajime Toguchi's art dating from January 2004 to April 2008. It does not contain every single piece Toguchi has ever done, but hopefully it will suffice:
http://rapidshare.com/files/11204883...rland.zip.html

Toguchi Hajime also has CG sets for sale at dejipare for about the same amount as one of Jolly Jack's sets here:
咲耶のあな ~咲耶ちゃんCG集~
Sakuya no Ana ~Sakuya-chan CG compilation~
http://www3.llpalace.co.jp/dp/dtl/DP...G18=1&CLASS1=0
パルフェちゃんCG集2
Parfait-chan CG compilation 2
http://www3.llpalace.co.jp/dp/dtl/DP...G18=1&CLASS1=0

I haven't tried to purchase anything from Dejipare, so I don't know if they accept overseas credit cards. Maybe someone with experience might know more.

UPDATE:
Added genzaburoh and stem, check the first post for links. Samples at the bottom:

You make searches with tags or file descriptions. If you want expansion, you'll have to try several different tags like 膨 (Bou).

Would it help if I took screenshots and made a mini-guide for the basic functions of the site?

I wouldn't want to ask you to go out of your way. For people who can read Japanese, it's probably a good site. But if I have to keep track of a bunch of URLs and check them individually every day to see if there's been an update, that's a hassle. Given how much BE material there is out there, it seems counter productive.

Which is not to say that the art there isn't worth going to a little trouble. I just couldn't find anything resembling a "Watch" feature and didn't feel like fiddling with it at the moment.

If you have further questions. Feel free to ask. I did an overview of the account home section and the illustration viewing section. The profile page is about the same except you can view a small sample of their bookmarks, favourites, illustrations, messages, etc.

Is "Watch" like adding someone to your favourites? Or is it like something where you get an alert if the user you submitted to your favourites adds something new?

Something that would keep track of any updates by selected artists since you last checked, so I suppose the latter.

If you add an artist to your favourites and then go to your home page, you'll see a list near the bottom that shows new works by your favourite artists sorted by their upload date. Also, when you add an artist to your favourites, you can dictate whether you want that artist to be listed publicly or privately as your favourite user.

Update: added ちる (Chiru). See first post for link. Samples at the bottom of this post.

When you add someone to your favourites, you are immediately presented with the choice. If you want to change it afterward, go to your home, select manage bookmarks, go to favourite users, and then edit that.

Uh... HTTP Addresses still have to be in ascii (I think, anyways, they don't support unicode).

In any case, if you hold your mouse over a link, and "http://www.pixiv.net/about.php" pops up, I don't think I'd be particularly outlandish to assume that the link is to an "About" page. This seems to hold true for about every japanese page i've seen.

Ah, the email addresses that the site might be looking for are "Name@site.co/jp" kind of addresses, if you want to sign up, its really easy to get a viable e-mail. Just go to GMail and sign up in English. Its registered in Japan too, so they take it as a viable source. Yahoo and Hotmail, etc don't seem to be liked.

As acme pointed out, some of the artists take their work down for various reasons. Like, Genzaburoh only shares things on Pixiv as a teaser for the compiled sets he sells at DLSite. Alicepowder took down his old stuff because he didn't like his old work (He was getting snooty comments about them), but you can still find his old stuff on a super secret website. First of all, don't click the link if you are looking for more images of huge breasts. Acme and I posted pretty much all of the images in that regard. If you still want to look, here's the link.

@acme: Did you have any luck finding the source image that you and Sutibaru believed genzaburoh plagiarised yet? I think it's about 2-4 days before I scold Sutibaru (I have to check). n_n;

acme 11-03-2008 07:23 PM

Re: Pixiv Community Artists

Haven't had much luck unfortunately (for Suti). I had the gut feeling it was this guy's style that seem familiar, but as you can see its obviously not. I'll continue looking though.

Mabye I could if I could follow the train of thoughts that led to its initial posting.. but trying to backtrack the post chain to the request leads to something about "those first two images" and I don't know exactly which two images its talking about...

Its kind of a puzzle see.. and most people who aren't that deeply involved in backtracking and trying to figure out each detail of every posted relationship on the board.... kind of can't follow whats going on there.

I mean I was thinking "was it the first two drawings of the post before, or was he referring to the first two drawings of this thread...?" and the response that came was in reference to the previous post, cause the first two of the thread don't seem that loli... yet there was no affirmation or denouncement of the brought up topic... of course it could just be me skimming over stuff cause I'm tired.. but meh.. thats life.
