New thread for part 2 of my comic!

But here?s the first part again.

Skiff 11-18-2005 02:23 AM

Here?s part 2

(Black and White Previews Done)

foxmaster5 11-18-2005 08:34 AM

My god thats some greeat stuff there. Cant wait for the thrird installment.

Sutibaru 11-18-2005 12:36 PM

Veery good Skiff, but there is a bit of a problem. I feel like the transformation of the girl to the bunnygirl needs a bit more. Sure you got the feet transformation, but what about the ears and tail?

But it is still good. It really is up to you. I trust that you know what you are doing.

foducool 11-18-2005 12:51 PM

lol think harder, think bigger !

ZinFeir 11-18-2005 04:29 PM

I like the rabbit into human-ish rabbit, its as cute as they get.

SoylentOrange 11-18-2005 08:27 PM

Very nicely done, Skiff. The only critiques I have at this point are the black bar in page six that's very visually "heavy" and doesn't seem to serve a purpose, and the fact that Dr. Ross goes from jacket to no jacket without any kind of in-between action or dialogue to let the reader know. It just kind of vanishes off her between panels.

Other than that, fantastic work. Great sequences, and I can't wait to see what comes next. You've got some real talent and skill behind your work and it just keeps getting better and better.

I agree with orange your skills are getting better. I love you work. Keep it up.

tsokei 11-18-2005 10:21 PM

great work, lots of good artwork there and nothing to complain about here ^_^

Fake_Name 11-19-2005 12:22 AM

Well, I would complain about all the useless posts.

Other than that, i like it (good job, skiff).

Can i suggest people stop making a mess of the new thread with posts consisting of nothing more than "oooh... I like it".

How about we just say that kudos are implied, and stop posting. Let's not have to start another thread in a week.

Unless you have a meaningful contribution, Don't say anything at all.

But all your post says is "I like it" and "stop making 'I like it' posts". Why complain when you can do something about it? Post something constructive yourself, and balance out the fluff.

Kyu 11-19-2005 10:18 AM

Skiff - out of curiosity, do you read MacHall (www.machall.com)? Those last few panels on the last page currently available remind me a lot of that style, both in the art and in the humor.

Just curious... (Comic's great, as usual)

tsokei 11-19-2005 02:36 PM

Kudos are the reason we get stuff, dude. I know the only reason I keep posting here is because I get a thank you once in a while. Addicted to praise, yes; lack of new BE material, no.
I may be wrong about this of course, but.. *shrug*

Prophet Tenebrae 11-20-2005 11:06 AM

Ah Skiff, you're quite the awesome.

You've got some great humour in there, as well as the lovely art and interesting story line - you are a beacon of hope.

Especially for an artist, compliments are very important. It motivates them to keep their work coming. Well, at least for me.

Jumba 11-20-2005 02:17 PM

I love part 2. Been waiting for it for ages.

Let me also clap to your subtle but grand use of comedy in all that is BE. Keep the work coming.

Skiff 11-21-2005 02:00 AM

Nothing wrong with a little prase.

The reason I started a new thread is because Lorekeep suggested that I repost my comic so it was easyer to find. The old thread was like 99 posts long, and I posted the comic on I think page 8 or 9... So I moved it here.

so I did the title page tonight... Colored it too.
I recycled the background set from the first part for now... Untill I build the new background set.

0.o ... oh yah...

Yah I do read Machall... and yes I did get the Idea from there. I try to model my style after his.

Fake_Name 11-21-2005 08:19 AM

Well, that explains what happens to the rabbit.

Yup.

Asuo 11-21-2005 04:16 PM

Ummm, can't wait for more.

Prophet Tenebrae 11-21-2005 09:49 PM

Looking good Skiff, the colouring in that is a whole league better than last time.

Skiff 11-22-2005 03:07 AM

I still got some surprises left... (no I don't...)
2 more pages. Finishing the girl-rabbitgirl transformation... I'm really not sure how many pages I have left... I'm kind of making this up as I go. Probably end off with an action scene. First the huge "BE" thing though. :)

Sutibaru 11-22-2005 03:42 AM

There we go. That's what I am talking about. Great work as usual Skiff. I had a feeling that you were not going to leave the bunny transformation that short. ^_^

tsokei 11-22-2005 08:15 AM

That title page is great, really goes well with the comic.
And excellent work on the two new pages, as well. I'm really enjoying the unique storyline and I hope it continues to 'blossom'. ^_^

ZinFeir 11-22-2005 09:34 AM

My two favorite things, destruction and bunnies, this can only end well.

Jumba 11-22-2005 09:46 AM

Demonic sexy bunnies of doom...... Who could hate such a thing?

Prophet Tenebrae 11-24-2005 10:39 AM

Evil never looked so good :D

Thanks Skiff, your art really makes my day.

Skiff 11-25-2005 03:57 PM

Define...

Demonic? Evil?! That would imply that the rabbit was capable of nothing more then hate and death. Demonic would imply that the rabbit had characteristics with the devil or a demon. She’s more like a beast. Not a monster, because monsters are capable of nothing but fear. Beasts are more primal. Miki isn’t evil either, just villain like. Her actions are just self serving. She just thinks of herself and what she can gain from her actions. At least that’s my thoughts on those meanings. … let me check on that… Besides. If that rabbit was otherwise non-aggressive to you, you might want to snuggle her.
(Loads Google Definitions)

“Evil - is a term describing that which is regarded as morally bad, intrinsically corrupt, wantonly destructive, inhumane, selfish, or wicked.”

“Monster - freak: a person or animal that is markedly unusual or deformed
a cruel wicked and inhuman person.”

“Demonic - In folklore, mythology, and religion, a demon or demoness is a supernatural being that is generally described as a malevolent spirit, but is also depicted as a force that may be conjured and insecurely controlled.”

Meh, I was close.

Anyway. More pages later. Time to get back to drawing…

Jumba 11-25-2005 04:50 PM

Indeed! How dare you go and do research on my random usage of the Thesaurus !
But since your such a good artist I'll forgive you :D

Skiff 11-26-2005 02:13 AM

Yah it's all good...
2 more new pages done... and I cleaned up page 8...
(here's the Gross Destructive Power... Mmmuhahaha!...)

Jumba 11-26-2005 05:47 AM

That was hilarious.... no it was HIGH-LARIOUS. Indeed very grand work.

Prophet Tenebrae 11-26-2005 07:42 AM

Is it just me or is the Bunny Hulk even bigger in that new page?

Great stuff - you give us all the cool TF stuff and some lovely humour too. Just all around ace really.

tsokei 11-26-2005 10:32 AM

Cool, more SkiffArt makes my day. ^_^

SoylentOrange 11-28-2005 01:39 AM

Wow, you're just getting better and better, Skiff.

Couple Things:

While having Joanna's breasts inflate at the bottom of page 10 is a funny gag, when it shows Joanna and Katt next to each other in page 11, Joanna's breasts are back to being the same size as Katt's, when in page 10 they were proportionately much larger. If you want to make a joke out of it, great, but not having the changes stick so much as one page seems kind of strange. Besides, if Joanna's breasts are going to wind up being large enough to block off the hallway as we saw in your preview sketch, they should probably keep that size increase anyways.

The same critique could go for the bunny in page 12- it seems to be larger than the supposedly "finished" transformation- but that can be easialy explained as the continued effects of the mutagen, so long as you let the villianess or some other character explain it as such with a quick line somewhere.

Also, Katt's dialogue in page 12 is fabulous. I"m beginning to love her "I"m just trying to go through my day" attitude, while Joanna is actually trying to particpate proactively in this slight against natural law as she percieves it. It gives two very different perspectives to the comic that work off each other very well.

Keep it up. I always check the forum for your thread specifically each day before I leave for work and when I get back. It's one of the best process-related comics I look forward to.

Fake_Name 11-28-2005 02:10 AM

Actually, if you check the image names, the first is # 08, and the second is # 11 (Followed by #12). So i think we are missing something in there.

Miss-Post?

Skiff 11-28-2005 02:43 AM

Everything is as it should be... I cleaned up page 8 and reposted it there. The sketchy version was on my second post but I removed it for the new one. No missed posts, just check the numbering...

(Watch this space for comic later... I'll try and get the next page done tonight.)

EDIT: My bad... no comic...

SoylentOrange 11-28-2005 08:46 AM

Awesome. Dig the new avatar. Is there a full-size version of that, perchance?

CK01 11-28-2005 01:31 PM

Echo the avatar querry.

Highly amused by the Bunny Hulk :)

SmokedToast 11-29-2005 12:14 AM

Hey skiff, is there more to your avatar or is that all there is too it? I was just curious.. Overall I've enjoyed the comic so far, keep up the good work. Though I was curious... did you have any plans for the guards to be effected by the mutagen at any point? I thought you posted a pic in the old thread of a dog girl in what looked like the guard's uniform if I remember correctly...

Skiff 12-04-2005 02:59 AM

New page!

SoylentOrange 12-04-2005 11:40 AM

Looks great! Katt's last line seems a bit confusing, but other than that it's great!

tsokei 12-07-2005 07:32 AM

Nice work! The avatar is great, too. I really like Miki's pose in the center panel of your latest page. Thanks for posting!

Prophet Tenebrae 12-07-2005 09:56 AM

Love the new avatar, Skiff and I am greatly looking forward to the next two pages. Hulks Bunny vs. invulernable catgirl :D

Skiff 12-08-2005 02:21 AM

Next two pages done!
Thanks for all the support everyone. I really apriciate it.

SoylentOrange 12-08-2005 02:36 AM

Excellent. Can't think of anything else to say. Will these be getting the color treatment at the end of the chapter?

Keep up the good work!

Prophet Tenebrae 12-08-2005 08:19 AM

You're never one to disappoint, Skiff.

Boobs to be used as an obstacle - I would never have thought of that...

tsokei 12-08-2005 08:26 AM

Hehehe- gotta love the priceless look on the bunny's face as the breasts loom menacingly above. Good work! The middle panel on the right on page 14 is my favorite part. Great quality all around, and I like how you keep the story pretty fresh and creative as you go along. Thanks for posting!

Jumba 12-08-2005 08:54 AM

I always love your work Skiff. It has BE and Comedy. Both things I love with passion and yet again both in this bit. And extreme BE aswell. I LOVE IT!

You are becoming my favourite artist very quickly

foducool 12-08-2005 09:27 AM

seems like it's the time for an indiana jones boulder race ^^

Tombman13 12-09-2005 07:56 AM

Nice series love the new Muscle bunny rabbit thing ^^ Do you take commisions!

SkruLuce 12-09-2005 09:40 AM

That last page was one of those "buh wha guh?" moments to me. ...interesting idea you had there, Skiff.

Skiff 12-11-2005 02:33 AM

Next page... Ran out of time for the page after. I got the storyboard done though. Lot of action on the next page, should keep me busy.

I don't know about commissions. BIG maybe. I'd like to just continue on the comic.

(yah yah. I know I drew her hand weard...)

Prophet Tenebrae 12-11-2005 04:09 AM

Looking good, Skiff.

Kyu 12-14-2005 03:35 AM

Quite nice. I don't think it's appreciated enough when the sound effects match the comic, but you've done a good job with location and word choice for comedic effect (liked the 'e' added to boing, gives it that extra springy feel in my head for some reason =P)

SoylentOrange 12-14-2005 10:12 AM

Looks good- my only question is why didn't she land on her feet? If you meant for it to look like she was going on all fours, you need to raise her up a bit. I mean, if she's going after someone, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to lay flat like that, and if she's agile enough to jump off of walls and such like that, there's no reason she'd land flat unless she wanted to...

Good page, though. As always, can't wait to see more.

Hey Proph, Warlock- you guys have BEA accounts, right? You should maybe put a link up in the Plume/Palette about this comic- certainly qualifies for BE, if not several other things!

Prophet Tenebrae 12-14-2005 11:09 AM

Hmm, maybe the Plume but not the General Forum - lest this place be flooded with a thousand doddering idiots. ;)

SoylentOrange 12-14-2005 11:19 AM

Heh, exactly. Your choice of adjectives is certainly more charitable than what mine would have been regarding the general temperment and aptitude of the denizens of the general forums, but the point still stands as exceedingly correct.

Still, though, Denny got a favorable response from his be animation (Heck, if a stalwart like G_I_John swipes it, it's got to be good) and I think skiff could benefit from what support and criticism the BEA would have to offer...

Prophet Tenebrae 12-14-2005 12:55 PM

Ha, well generally best not to be too contemptuous of forums you frequent. Especially as I'm the editor of the BE story club :P

SoylentOrange 12-14-2005 02:00 PM

I swear you guys will get my money as soon as Dream Girl finishes, but I keep hearing from people who were signed up during chapter 1/2 and have paid out something close to a hundred bucks waiting for the thing to finish...

Prophet Tenebrae 12-14-2005 04:11 PM

Aren't we on chapter 3?

As to when that project will be finished - all I can say is, finished when it's finished. Sadly not everyone can be as productive as Skiff et al here.
