Spinnerette

Here's a new webcomic which looks to be headed right for an arm-growing sequence.

Looks interesting.

Re: Spinnerette

When I read the scientist's rant, I couldn't help but imagine Linkara saying in his faux-German accent, "Of course, don't you know anything about SCIENCE!"

Re: Spinnerette

I'd be lying if I said I was turned off by girls with multiple arms.
Nonetheless this looks interesting anyway, despite my perversion.

Re: Spinnerette

...okay, I'm interested.

Thanks for the heads-up! :D

Re: Spinnerette

Man, I've been reading this guy's work for awhile, and he always manages to fit in the weirdest stuff... Can't wait to see where this goes!

(also, for the record, yeah, I heard Linkara's voice as well).

Superheroine Origin with Physical Transformation = SOLD!

VincentJ 02-22-2010 02:10 AM

Re: Spinnerette

If you check the sketches part, there's a wonderful just "been transformed" picture of her with her new arms

jiryha 02-22-2010 12:51 PM

Re: Spinnerette

Unfortunately, with the way her arms are placed, she'd be horribily chaffed for the rest of her life. That's a lot of flesh on flesh friction...

SoulChaser 02-22-2010 01:17 PM

Re: Spinnerette

4 arms would be useful in real life but yeah there to close to each other. They need little more spacing between them.

LeenaAngelWing 02-22-2010 08:10 PM

With a skintight superhero suit! I don't think so!

And there's the initial TF! :D

...But it's a poof, aw. :/

Re: Spinnerette

The intro of the arms is pretty good but it's still a shame we see no TF.
Although we rarely do XP

Re: Spinnerette

Bumping because Heather is so freaking adorable in this update.

blackshirtboy 03-19-2010 01:10 AM

Re: Spinnerette

quite true though there is still no process to be found.
I was hoping that she would gain the ability to hide/ re-grow her arms but it looks like thats not happening XP

CK01 03-19-2010 01:27 AM

Re: Spinnerette

Perhaps, but good art and humor level just right have made it my newest must read webcomic :)

I can't shake the feeling that the plot is rushing a tad, but even so, Heather is so horrendously adorable that I can't bring myself to care. XD

I only just recognized style of the artist too. I'm surprised it took me so long. I believe he has a gallery over on FA.

Get it? Handy?

*deadpan* ha, ha. o_o

In any case, I wonder how it would feel? Having multiple limbs, I mean.
Do you think it just "clicks in" and you can move them all at will without too much effort or is it something that you get used to over time?
Just saying.

This fellow here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/chochi/

And here: http://chochi.deviantart.com/

He recently posted a cover image from the comic on both his pages as well.

In one of Douglas Adams's books, he mentions a planet of multi-armed people who were the only civilization in the history of the universe to invent underarm deodorant before the wheel. :D

Re: Spinnerette

Okay, I know any hope for process is probably apipe dream at this point, but I'm just bumping to say it seems to be a darn good comic thus far. :)

Re: Spinnerette

O. M. G. what a great super power, shooting webs out of your ass. This is getting interesting, can't wait to see how she manages to use that in combat lol

Rei-Lin 04-03-2010 08:16 PM

Re: Spinnerette

I don't think the web is coming out of her ass, it's too high up, more at the base of her spine. I'm sure nobody meant her little a-hole, but still, sometimes when people say "ass" they mean the hole, and Heather is too damn cute to think of web coming from there. :D

no-name 04-03-2010 10:04 PM

Re: Spinnerette

Trust me, when the crooks see her web shooter in action, that's gonna be the first thing on their mind.
I wonder if she'll be going through some other changes in the future.

Too early to say, but after the last two "upgrades", I wonder how she'll handle the rest that comes her way.

I guess we should hit the books to find out!

cpt soban 04-04-2010 06:52 AM

Re: Spinnerette

And hey, the force of that web hitting a sewing machine moved it considerably, and sewing machines are heavy, so if she hits a crook with that his thoughts are probably going to be more along the line of "That's a mean left hook" than "She shat web at me?"

I didn't mean the hole. I was just referring to what was said on the page itself.

Uh oh, potential evil spider lady TF coming up. http://www.krakowstudios.com/spinnerette/

So far she's grown fangs, extra eyes and her clothes seem to be disintegrating, maybe the next page will reveal further process. Keep your fingers crossed, we may have a Drider TF.

And we are a go for the Drider TF. Not the prettiest one on record, but a TF nonetheless.

ladies and gentlemen we have process
s'pretty good

CK01 07-23-2010 04:51 AM

Re: Spinnerette

Nice, and different to "lose" the human legs rather than have them involved in the TF

cpt soban 07-23-2010 09:17 AM

Re: Spinnerette

Well on the bright side she is now a creature with a ridiculously fragile body part containing a number of vital organs (spider abdomens are not sturdy by any consideration.)

Re: Spinnerette

Indeed, though some might say that is a small price to pay, for now baby got back.

Wow, that was much more visceral than I expected. Still pretty awesome though.

You realize you're talking about a comic book, right? Normal rules don't apply here.

Re: Spinnerette

Oh...my...that was a tad disturbing...

TF-Viewer 07-23-2010 06:42 PM

Re: Spinnerette

Hmm, I'm not sure she's actually done with the TF yet. For some reason I can picture her turning completely into a spider because of some unexpected reaction with her spell and Spinnerette's science scrambled DNA. That's my prediction anyway, I guess we'll see next week if anything of the sort happens.

Oh that's nothing compared to the TF in Tales from the Darkside the movie, or Company of Wolves.

mercury01 07-23-2010 07:16 PM

Re: Spinnerette

It would suck if she did morph completely into a spider. She looks great as a human and I'm sure she'd do well as a drider. Regular spiders are just... dull.

Perhaps a giant spider then?

I still think it's a possibility though, given this comic's humorous take on things. It's also entirely possible she could morph into a normal sized spider or shrink to a tiny Drider and be dealt with like any pest of that size... with a swift stomping. :p

cpt soban 07-24-2010 07:50 AM

Re: Spinnerette

I am still half expecting them to continue with the biology savvy humor and point out that having more spider related physiology in a combat situation is A BAD THING. There is a reason that most spiders are trap and ambush predators.

Walter's original draft for Evil Spinnerette was a lot scarier, I asked him to tone it down a bit. E.S. is going to be a recurring character, I wanted to keep her sexy :)

Joe Six-Pack 11-02-2010 06:04 PM

Re: Spinnerette

It's Krazy Krow! The artwork on this story is incredibly good, and the Spinnerette character is very well realized. Really enjoying the comic.

...And that sketch of Evil Spinnerette is mind-blowingly cool. You could probably sell that as a tattoo for metalheads.

Re: Spinnerette

"We're seeing Uwe Boll's 'Oregon Trail.'" Love it.

TF aside, this is fantastic: beautiful art, great characters, sharp humor. With all the film adaptations from graphic novels and web comics, I think I'd like to see something come of this.

And here's hoping they have a size theme episode, maybe a new mutation causes Spinnerette to shrink to spider size.

Re: Spinnerette

bump because new update contains potential for female werewolf TF soon.

blackshirtboy 01-25-2011 07:29 AM

Re: Spinnerette

Or at the very least a male one from the Werewolf of London Ontario. I gotta say I loled hard at the Canadian Superheros

CK01 01-25-2011 11:37 AM

Re: Spinnerette

That makes me wonder if she does/will transform. The comic is responding as if they can/or are expected they can, but he's wolfed in daylight seemingly without concern.

no-name 01-25-2011 09:27 PM

Re: Spinnerette

Perhaps he's has more control over his abilities?

blackshirtboy 01-26-2011 05:39 AM

Re: Spinnerette

The Canadian superheros are bilingual, I nearly fell off my chair.
Anyway I assume that if he can use his powers for super heroing then yeah, he probably does have some kind of advanced control over his lycanthropy that will be explained at some point over the next few pages.

EchoWing 01-28-2011 07:41 AM

Re: Spinnerette

If today's page is any indication, werewolves in the Spinnerette 'verse don't have initial control over their abilities, but do gain a degree of control over time. This new werewolf girl is hinted to be fairly recent (and arguably, not the only one), while the Werewolf of London Ontario sounds like he's been active for a while.

Still, TFs aside, I'm looking forward to seeing more of the lady werewolf. Nice figure aside, if the WoLO is any indication, she's gonna be adorable once she gets herself together.

Oh come on. It is so gonna be Tiger's wife/girlfriend/lesbian best friend/whoever that was in the photo.

I like that he actually cleaned up the translation from the babelfished original version.
