Re: Overlord Bob
guess i should update my commission thread since i commissioned this.
and that didn't take long for people to start using it as ava's... |
Re: Overlord Bob
It's a rather nice piece and I enjoyed the transformational element and story. Quite cute.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
There are 3 more on the way, and that's just from me. See ZeroForever's thread in the Art Request section for details.

Re: Overlord Bob
AAgh how do you get these done so fast and so good?
I'm still labouring away at the druid> cowgirl XP Both sequences are completely amazing btw |
Re: Overlord Bob
I'm much faster working by hand than digitally. (I want to learn to use a tablet though!) There's something satisfying about having markers all over the place and just grabbing them and experimenting with blending. I just don't have the same energy with the polygon tool and opacity sliders.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
agh I really need to practice with the markers, colouring digitally takes the same ammount of time, sketching and inking at the pace I'm going XP
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Well, either way, I can't wait to see what you do with the series.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
he already posted his portion up.

Re: Overlord Bob
He sure did! Great work as usual, BSB!
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Great sequences. Even viewed fullsize though, I'm finding the Druid one too small to see properly.

It'd be nice to see some of the other possible D&D classes in this mess, like the Barbarian, the Ranger, the Thief...

Re: Overlord Bob
Hmm. I'm not all that fond of the Dwarf one to be honest. It just doesn't seem believebale- what idiot would just stand there and poke a massive wall of potentially dangerous ooze that you find in a dungeon?

Re: Overlord Bob
if the bard has a friend who's a monk he could have learned a basic kick attack...
problem fixed :D |
Re: Overlord Bob
Different change but fun.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
A wizard tends to solve problems with spells. Dwarves with axes or hammers.

Re: Overlord Bob
"D&D fanbase - It's ironic, but just as monsters often frequently gravitate towards the sewers and abandoned castles and dwellings of humans, these annoying creatures somehow make their way around your keep, unhindered by your armies.
They are quick to notice anything that does not match their cult's teachings, and will hound you relentlessly for it. They are a difficult pest to deal with as they are hard to spot, emitting little to no signs of life, and being of no threat whatsoever. Some have suggested making a game of who could toss the fathest from the highest point in the keep. Some have theorized tracking or low-level creatures are their downfall, though we wish you best of luck if you find you have an infestation." My apologies to anyone who actually took offense to this. ^^; |

Re: Overlord Bob
new one
http://my.deviantart.com/messages/#/d319ppa this one isn't part of the main story so I wrote it up to parody a ton of things. |
Re: Overlord Bob
this one technically isn't a sequence rather the intro portion of the series.
http://tran4of3.deviantart.com/#/d31ybb4 he is also doing the conclusion which has multiple tf's. |
Re: Overlord Bob
Holy Cannoli! You got Ian S on board, awesome!
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Ian S? ...Holy crap! That is Ian S/Kdingo! (spelling?)! Nice!
|
Re: Overlord Bob
obviously people don't read my notes on who's doing what... =/
any other artists I should note that I poked |
Re: Overlord Bob
|
Re: Overlord Bob
...huh. For some reason I don't like that pic. I have no idea why.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Heheh...Nice. Group shot for the win.
Now....Does Bob have his own minions for repelling the next group f epic heroes? Or will this lot step up to the challenge? |
Re: Overlord Bob
very nice, the kitty and the bunny are too damn adorable to look at for too long XD
|
Re: Overlord Bob
another one done Powerman2000 http://powerman2000.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d324wgr http://powerman2000.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d324wtn
one more technically but talked to the artist and apparently rl issues, so their pretty behind so i'll probably skip it |
Re: Overlord Bob
Bob should consider opening a brothel or strip club. Then he can have a nice amount of income to support his ever expanding conquests of the world. :D
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Yay for vamps!
|
Re: Overlord Bob
The end of the story and links to the other chapters are in Ian's gallery:
http://kdingo.net/champ/pics/main.php?g2_itemId=11043 There are also two new TG comics in the "New" folder; a bodyswap and a process. |
Re: Overlord Bob
I must say there is nothing more rewarding than seeing my character designs in action when I didn't have to actually draw them.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Oh my God that was so awesome it hurt.
Seriously though, that was quite fantastic, and the art style is just... man that was great. And it gave me tingles when I saw the character from my sequence drawn in his style. Granted she looked pretty much the same and was usually near the edge of the panel, but still! Tingles! |
Re: Overlord Bob
I liked how someone was holding your Alt Bob helmet.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
it's been posted on his deviant account also, posted the script up also but it's essentially what i put on the commission post already.

Wait, so all the "good" he'd captured from the heroes was used to turn him into a woman? Is that what happened there?
|
Re: Overlord Bob
Anticlimatic, cheesy, yet a satisfying ending.
Good series through and through. (To make it more specific: It doesn't feel like the ending Ian worked on carried his humor very well. The afterword and peppered meme interjection made it feel a bit stilted. The twist end between it, though, was spot on, and the beginning of the conclusion was a good lead-in) |
Re: Overlord Bob
Meow indeed.
|
Re: Overlord Bob
I can almost see a revist to this happening sooner or later
|
Re: Overlord Bob
already commissioned some side stories and a holiday event.
Admittedly some of the jokes didn't carry over as well as i had hoped but the overall product was fine. |
