It's a rather nice piece and I enjoyed the transformational element and story. Quite cute.

I'm still labouring away at the druid> cowgirl XP
Both sequences are completely amazing btw

Re: Overlord Bob

I'm much faster working by hand than digitally. (I want to learn to use a tablet though!) There's something satisfying about having markers all over the place and just grabbing them and experimenting with blending. I just don't have the same energy with the polygon tool and opacity sliders.

blackshirtboy 09-21-2010 08:22 PM

Re: Overlord Bob

agh I really need to practice with the markers, colouring digitally takes the same ammount of time, sketching and inking at the pace I'm going XP

Well, either way, I can't wait to see what you do with the series.

Great sequences. Even viewed fullsize though, I'm finding the Druid one too small to see properly.

I've already commissioned those classes... there's a thread someone else on the forums that lists them all out.

Hmm. I'm not all that fond of the Dwarf one to be honest. It just doesn't seem believebale- what idiot would just stand there and poke a massive wall of potentially dangerous ooze that you find in a dungeon?

Yarr.

It doesn't seem believable that a wizard would fire a spell, get hit by it, and decide to fire another one. Especially since wizards are good at willpower rolls (or am I thinking of something else...).

Re: Overlord Bob

"D&D fanbase - It's ironic, but just as monsters often frequently gravitate towards the sewers and abandoned castles and dwellings of humans, these annoying creatures somehow make their way around your keep, unhindered by your armies.
They are quick to notice anything that does not match their cult's teachings, and will hound you relentlessly for it.
They are a difficult pest to deal with as they are hard to spot, emitting little to no signs of life, and being of no threat whatsoever.
Some have suggested making a game of who could toss the fathest from the highest point in the keep.
Some have theorized tracking or low-level creatures are their downfall, though we wish you best of luck if you find you have an infestation."

My apologies to anyone who actually took offense to this. ^^;

Oh my God that was so awesome it hurt.
Seriously though, that was quite fantastic, and the art style is just... man that was great.

And it gave me tingles when I saw the character from my sequence drawn in his style. Granted she looked pretty much the same and was usually near the edge of the panel, but still! Tingles!

Wait, so all the "good" he'd captured from the heroes was used to turn him into a woman? Is that what happened there?

Re: Overlord Bob

Anticlimatic, cheesy, yet a satisfying ending.

Good series through and through.

(To make it more specific: It doesn't feel like the ending Ian worked on carried his humor very well. The afterword and peppered meme interjection made it feel a bit stilted. The twist end between it, though, was spot on, and the beginning of the conclusion was a good lead-in)

Admittedly some of the jokes didn't carry over as well as i had hoped but the overall product was fine.
