I am respecting the site's Webmaster's wishes by not reproducing the artwork here, but I thought you might like the sequence on this page.

(Oh yeah, I almost forgot: click on the little inset pic itself for the final entry in the series...)

Fake_Name 07-23-2005 12:55 AM

Is that the product of photoshop?

Looks like it.

rambo 07-23-2005 07:07 AM

sorry for the question old_chestnut...
but I'd like to know if your avatar is a part of a comic, and if you know were I can find it, because I think I've just seen it a long time ago, but I don't remember were.....

Gas75 07-23-2005 10:37 AM

Good drawing... but I don't understand where those "flying" slips are from! :D

I've attached the original artwork, which features Tiffany Lords of "Rival Schools" (I don't know if this was from art released for the game or if it's fanart -- I suspect the latter -- and I don't know who the artist was), and the morph by "Magnus", from which I lifted my avatar. I don't think it's part of any sequence.

I seem to recall that Magnus' piece appeared around five years ago or so. I haven't seen anything from Magnus since about then, so this artist is either no longer active or no longer using this name.

I agree, judging from the final pic in the series. It looks like there was a single master drawing and that the area around her chest was then morphed or redrawn and then matted-in. The last one was then shaded in to make a more finished result.

I'd direct you to check for more information at his site, but it appears that he doesn't discuss the details and, in any case, all the links within the site to his artwork currently dead-end...

If you look over the Tryst site, you'll find it is a collection of "spacegirl art" commissioned by the Webmaster, centered on his original character. (Sadly, it hasn't been updated in a year... :( ) I believe the page I cited has the only BE sequence there.

Am I not quite understanding your question?

Gas75 07-23-2005 03:46 PM

No... I asked about the "intimate pants" (I don't know how to explain the pair of "slips") I see to fly near the girl...

I would guess that Tryst is in the private cabin of her ship and those are just among various loose items floating around in zero-gee...

I am pretty sure your avatar is from Magical Drop 3, right?

ProfessorMishap 07-23-2005 08:55 PM

First of all yes, I thought it would be cool and sexy.
And second, HOLY F***ING MOTHER OF CHRIST, what in all that is
sane is that!!!!!!

shadow 07-23-2005 09:10 PM

I doth believe it to be Japanse Goth art

Sutibaru 07-23-2005 09:54 PM

I suppose you could call it goth art. Although I would not. I am huge on horror movies and comics, yet I never thought of them as "goth". If you would look in the dictionary, the word "goth" has to do with music or Europe from the 12th through the 15th century. I am nor sure that there is and genre that is called goth though. I will have to look it up.

It was drawn by my favorite horror comic author, Kazuo Umezu. He created great stories such as "Drifting Classroom" and "Orochi".

Very nice, thanks for the note about clicking the inset- I would have totally missed it. ^_^

I just ran across an updated link to the site. Frobischer is still adding to his collection, but apparently just never shut down the old place...

Prophet Tenebrae 11-06-2005 04:43 AM

Nice site - thanks for the headsup guys.

Mr_melons 11-06-2005 07:48 AM

Was that a floating cow cross-bred with a globe?

Am I the only one freaked out about that...

Ehh, when you've seen a floating pig controlled by an ideat alien before, stuff like that doesn't tend to effect you as much.

Interesting stuff none the less.

Those are supposed to be the cow's spots, but they're not very dark. On a nearly spherical cow, I can see what you'd view it that way...

Dr Worm 11-07-2005 04:42 PM

Mini-moose could pwn robo-cow. Like, totally.

And that's a damn fine website. Lots and lots o' pictures.
