Hello everyone! I'm happily announcing that my SW shrink poker story from many, many years ago is now available in eBook format.

A tenth class reunion. Five women. Lots of secrets. And one big game of poker.

Rachel, Cassandra, Julia, Gwen, and Emily were close friends in high school. On the night before their reunion, they get together for what should be a friendly game of poker. After a few hands, they discover that as they lose chips, they also lose inches from their height.

Their betting and bluffing become more intense as they gamble not only to win the pot but also to win back their stature. To disrupt each other’s games, they expose past rivalries, relationships, and secrets. As they shrink smaller, the stakes certainly grow larger.

Who’s holding all the cards? Who wants them cut down to size? And are they literally playing right into someone’s hand?

If I'm not mistaken, our friend sci here mostly made cosmetic changes - editing, cleanup, a bit of the dialogue, etc - but no *major* changes to the plot. In any case it's worth picking up.

Also, I'm still really proud of that cover I designed. :-D

I'll let qzar answer that one...

Mostly cleaning up, updating a few things re: cell phones & social media. Broke up two of the really long chapters just to get to a new total of 13 chapters (because there are 13 cards in a suit, after all). But it's more or less the same shrink-poker fun. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane re-reading this one and sharing it.

**takes a deep breath** I just literally finished this book. I got it two weekends ago and my god!

My fan girl devotion to Syrus aside this book is good.

I was terrified, I was relieved, I was made sick with worry and the one character I didn't think I'd like suddenly redeemed herself in my eyes. I just... God's.

I WANTED do badly to get spoilers like I did with short time to know Julia and Rachel and Gwen were ok... But I didn't. And when the book got to much I ran like Sebastian in Never Ending Story. Ran in terror only to steel myself and come back for more.

I'm so glad I did. I won't give spoilers but I freely admit my thought process for the ending was much much darker.

scidram is the only author I know who has made me connect with his characters like no other.

Thank for a great novel.
