Yeah, manga seems to use BE pretty much exclusively as a prelude to sex... which I suppose is understandable but somewhat irritating nonetheless.

Some perspectives on a fetish does not need sex included or may not have the desire for sex involved.

Sex can be fine, its just that in a lot of cases it steals all the focus from the BE. And since BE is so rare and sex so common in manga, its annoying when there's 3 panels of BE then 10 pages of sex. There's a balance to be struck.

Not only that, but there is pretty much no reason for the sex. There was no true relationship between the characters. Sex is a lot more tolerable in manga if the characters love each other. Not the usual hump away or gang bang crap with weird looking guys.

Except this is porn, where that doesn't really matter to the buyer.

But what if the BE was happening during a sex scene is that taking the focus from the sex or the BE?

I don't know if this answers it properly, but think of hentai and ecchi: they're both sexual, but one goes into sex, while the other one is just eye-candy.

In my case, I'm pretty much a sucker for "cute" stuff, for lack of a better way of putting it. Thus, it really ruins everything when there's suddenly a huge, veiny, hairy penis and lots of bodily fluids flying around everywhere.

成年 Seinen (Adult)
If you buy this kind of manga, it's highly likely that there will be sex in it. So, one would purchase these adult manga for the reason of sex and various types of fetish along for the ride. It's ludicrous to assume you can buy one of these and expect it not to have a sex scene in it. Though, some mangakas do some stories that focus more on the story than the sex scenes (i.e. Inugami Expert and Neconoclasm).

Examples:

Bakuretsu Gensou (1/2)

青年 Seinen (Young Men)
This is like the above, but the focus on sex isn't imperative. Probably the widest range of stories and if you want to find BE without sex, you're better off looking here.

Seishun no Binta
Okitsune-sama de Chu

少年 Shounen (Boy)
Targets the boy demographic. While it is much rarer to see sex, it still exists. *cough* Vampire Master Dark Crimson *cough*.

Examples:
Orefeti Ichigo-chan Ki o Tsukete!
Majoma (This is strange because one could mistake the female heroine for a boy, I might show some scans of it later.)
Mai-Otome

少女 Shoujo (Girl)
I can't think of any manga in this with BE, just ones with sex scenes, TG, AP/AR, and Transformations...

There's also Josei, but I don't really own any so I'm excluding it.

同人誌 Doujinshi (Same Person Work)
The last area would be to look in Doujinshi since that would most likely cater to a fetish without the addition of extra material, but that all depends on what the artist prefers.

Actually they both mean the same thing. Ecchi is the pronounciation of the word "H" which is short for Hentai. Ecchi can mean anything perverted or abnormal, and people will use Ecchi when they talk about sex.

Yeah, I know technically hentai and ecchi are the same, but I mean in general.

Wasn't hard. Made the eraser color the grey and erased him using the eraser and the polygon lasso. Even more easy since there was a grey outline separating her from him.

Ditto, I like light hearted stuff. One of the main reasons I have an interest in this subject is that it can potentially be introduced anywhere, it's not like the other things that are dependant on sex etc. Hence why I like W00ts stuff (the imp story with the rich girl is a prime example, funny stuff :) )

I've always looked at Ecchi (in the american interpretation) is essentially hentai that has been ass-raped by the Japanese version of the FCC.

Hi. Comin' out of the shadows 'cause I'm gathering material for a big post in this section. Figure I'll comment.

Now, I actually prefer a fetish such as BE to not contain sex. While I am essentially bisexual (it's complicated, but the easiest way to say it without a long explanation is to say that I'm bi). But still, sex is gross. All the sweat, and the (pardon my language for the next few words) cum, and the semen, and all the other crap. It's awfully messy, and I'm a neat freak...

Plus, just the thought of sticking a part of my body into a part of someone else's body just seems disgusting...

While I prefer my BE scenes to have nudity, sex can occassionally ruin them.

BE and sex, better with or without? By personal taste both are okay to me at least, but by prefrence no sex works better. But then again isn't there some material out there where it works or is that simply just wishful thinking?
