Doctor Who - the Adipose

I have no idea what's going on here, evidently some kind of alien parasite sort of situation. The woman in question isn't a supermodel, but some people might be interested in the process.

I really was hoping her fat would mostly pop off, leaving a slim woman. Ah well. Still great fun.

Not only was that horrible.... it was a horrible indication of the quality ol' Rusty's got going for this season.

I bet it was written by him, too. What with his obsession with fat people and all.....

It is. Fuck, what a POS writer.

I agree with Veng. its poor, in the way the bugs under the skin in Indiana jones wasnt..., even the worms in the ear bit in star trek 2 had more cred.... and not forggeting, slither which was very poor indeed... lol
this truly stinks of 'pot boilers'.... bah....

any one notice that all the good eps. are not written by him?

well.....personally, I think back to the old Who, and realize that even with this quality, many stories back then make Davies look like Shakespeare.

I just keep thinking of Who as campy sci-fi fun, and move on. *shrug*

Yeah, Marcus, the problem is.... mistakes SHOULD have been learned and it IS possible to create a fun exciting tense episode. RE: Blink, Human Nature, etc.

Moffat and Davies are NOT comparable. period. I just enjoy the characters anyways. I mean...it's frickin David Tennant. That's enough for me.

Re: Doctor Who - the Adipose

I'll admit that I don't always enjoy what Davies dishes out... but on the other hand, we really do owe him for Doctor Who being back in the first place, and he's written some of my favorite episodes in spite of it all. Some may compare him to Longfellow's little girl with the little curl. You know, the one from the poem.

"There was a little girl, who had a little curl,
right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good, she was very, very good,
but when she was bad she was horrid."

doesn't he have that reasonable (ie 50-50 ha/no-ha) comedian Catherine Tate as a sidekick? NOW it' gone to crap :(

*the ha is a small laugh, so I was really saying I laugh AT her, not because she's good at pulling off jokes or anything
