AI Image Generation

Don't think there's really a way to generate sequential images with the free generator yet, but the new DALL-E generator has a bit of potential for process-ish pics.

I've only gotten one through so far - based on bandwidth/site availability - and it wasn't quite what I was hoping for - but does show a lot of promise IMO.

Lots of fun examples on twitter - but maybe folks want to post a few more process-type results here.

Those faces from Dall-E are horrifying.

Seen some new generators that are getting much more realistic or artistic...maybe in a year or two, the capability for process-type stuff will be there. (at least once all these weird beta tests are done)

I'd rather not support this AI art stuff, especially when it samples bits and pieces from work done by honest human artists who don't appreciate their work getting appropriated, but I gave it a try with "Batman transforming into Harley Quinn". For what it's worth....

Perhaps it's asking too much to get the transformation in one image, given transformation art is niche enough it may not appear often in the training data. One could try separate generations for "She-Hulk beginning to transform," "She-Hulk in mid transformation," and "She-Hulk at full power"; or "Power Girl with a modest bust," "Power Girl with prominent breasts," and "Power Girl with huge bazongas!" etc. You may be able to use the same seed for all prompts to get a similar art style. Then the results could be edited together (by a human) into a sequence.

I'm not too sure what to make of AI "art." Every form of art, including writing, requires effort. Turning all of that into something you can just order like a pizza is creeping into serious BLACK MIRROR territory.

Yeah the generator cannot do faces at all it is like it took some images of previous work and doodled over it.

(Man it's kind of weird that we have a different AI thread in every single sub forum)

Speaking as someone who has been fighting this AI to draw a hand, just one hand, I just want a hand, not a dog, not a cool velociraptor, not what appeared to be half of a dumbbell, just a hand, for the past hour

It's not quite like ordering pizza.

It's close enough.
