[Magic: the Gathering] Transformations in Eldritch Moon

I'm not sure how many of you follow Magic, but the most recent set, Eldritch Moon, has quite a bit of TF of the tentacular nature.

The basic story is Innistrad, the gothic horror plane full of vampires and werewolves and ghosts has been invaded by Emrakul, an timeless cosmic horror from beyond the multiverse. As part of the invasion, Emrakul has physically transformed much of the plane into manifestations of her.

For example, this card was in the original Innistrad set:

And this is its callback in the new one:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers...4461&type=card

Another good example is what happened to two of the guardian angels of Innistrad, Bruna and Gisela, who originally looked like this:

http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers...0208&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers...5243&type=card
and who, under the influence of Emrakul, became this:
http://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers...4304&type=cardhttp://gatherer.wizards.com/Handlers...4319&type=card
and then finally fused into this:

The block also includes Arlinn Kord, the first werewolf planeswalker:

who remains uncorrupted, and various other transformy cards. The full list of cards which actually transform in play in the block is here.

Very cool and interesting.

The fight between Thalia and Brisela is something straight out of the Thing. I like it how Innistrad quickly jumped from werewolves, vampires and zombies running amok; to angels being corrupted by lovecraftian monstrosities and turned into even worse abominations.

Seems heavily inspired by Bloodborne, thematically. I strongly approve.

Gah, I hadn't made the artistic connection between Make a Wish and Grapple With the Past. Here's an extra squicky one that goes straight for the body horror, though I'm not quite sure how to embed with their particular format.

There's also that whole Emerge mechanic, which has you "casting" Eldrazi abominations at a discount by sacrificing another creature and deducting that creature's casting cost from the Emerging one.

This one is basically everyone drinking the Kool-Aid for a mass conversion.

About the only thing missing from this card to make it perfect would be if the buff said that your Wizards also counted as Insects in addition to their other creature types.

This one is just creepy, but downright abusive if you use a deck that involves Processors to take their exiled cards into the yard and deny your opponent access.

The last one I'll comment upon. Don't let it touch you.
As an aside, I would love it if Wizards decided to keyword "[CARDNAME] must attack each turn if able." as "Frenzy"

Both blocks in this setting, Innistrad/Dark Ascension/Avacyn Restored and Shadows Over Innistrad/Eldritch Moon, hit these themes pretty hard, though the original Innistrad block was much less tentacle-focused and more straight-forward gothic. They're all crammed full of werewolves, and there's a case of an unassuming girl-next-door type getting adopted into one of the big shot vampire families and looking a lot meaner, if that's your thing. Probably the most infamous breakout in the tournament scene was this guy:

Who managed to turn himself into this thing:

Then this take on Innistrad took "Franz Kafka" and turned him into "Perfect Cell"
