Downsizing, upcoming sci-fi movie w/Matt Damon
 

I just found the trailer for this on Reddit. Premise is simple enough, science uses shrinking to combat humanity's effect on the world by literally reducing the species' footprint. Has a good cast too!

The effects looked good. But I don't like the idea that there is no reverse.
The trailer made the movie look boring to sit through. And I doubt that any thing risque will happen.

They always say a process like that has no reverse but it seems in those kinds of movies there is always at least one person that figures out how to reverse it.

Yeah I suppose you are right. I don't think a person in there right mind would do it if there was no reverse.

Still it looks and feels like a pg-13 film. So no miniature guys going into bras and panties. Or shrunken women into guys underwear. Would have liked to see him at .25 inches tall. Then scale his wife's panties that she is still wearing.

Looks like we've got a lot of interaction, but we see no process and certainly no "out-of-clothes".

Could be good. Better than nothing.

It seems a bit too obvious where this film is going, and the resulting moral, which might result in people feeling there is no need to see the film.

That is for sure. People seem to be pointing out that and all the flaws of shrinking. And people are saying the wife doesn't go through with it and divorces him.

The size archive has the Downsizing trailer already too. Along with a trailer to another 2017 movie Longing. Honestly, the giantess scene in Longing's trailer was more interesting, and that is supposedly just a one off dream sequence.

Hollywood just seems to be making lots of duds now a days.:(

With the amount of recycled ideas in Hollywood, Im surprised nobody has done a remake of The Incredible Shrinking Woman.

Of course we could hope that the movie goes apocalyptic and whole crowds of protesters get shrunk at the end. But still, hollywood will probably take a ruler to the fetishes and make it all guys.

Yeah, and as for remakes, they'd polly do an Incredible shrinking man again first. :(

And I love Lily Thomlin, but not in that way.
