I felt it wasnt worth it since they dont update too often and I felt it would probably die out and likely be of no consequence.

Good point though it is always good to have something up your sleve that others dont have that way you always keep the upper hand

What upper hand? This is a forum.

The upper hand of knowledge if the forum wasnt having as much converstaion or posts as it is I might be inclined to toss out a couple of doujins or an index of a site possibly even a sight rip to keep this place going. I could as well use these things for trade with others who have things I want.
