Burton also said before he didn't like Disney's version of the tale and wanted to keep it more in spirit with the original books.

It's hard to believe now that Alice in Wonderland was Disney's biggest animated flop until The Black Cauldron (and following that, Treasure Planet), but it was. It was the very animated work that got me into SW/GTS.

Believe me, Tim Burton has the utmost respect for classic literary works.

He won't sully his faithful adaptation with unnecessary drug references.

I know Tim Burton won't soil the AiW story itself it's the critics I was pointing fingers at. Judging from the trailer, I'm sticking up for Tim Burton 100% so far and itching like poison ivy to see growth footage:P

Qzar9999,

And I agree with your statement on Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" song giving Alice in Wonderland a drug-rap. :) [Even though that wasn't my era,] I've heard it was a time of frequent drug use and Woodstock concerts, lol, who could blame them for how they saw things.

Heh, it wasn't my era, either. I blame the Lost Odyssey commercials for introducing me to that song...

Based on the script I know I'm excited to go see this movie. Multiple size-changing scenes FTW.

Tim Burton wants to make a LITERARY adaptation.

He doesn't know or care about any videogame.

Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland isn't the game Alice done as a movie, that movie was never made actually. If it was you would see a Slasher Alice. Its like a sequel to AiW and Thru the looking Glass (AiW 2).

Well, a search of the photographer's name didn't bring up any threads related to these images so I'll just stick them here.

Hallopino at DA has done a couple of very nifty Alice photoshoots (mostly props I think) demonstrating either end of the size continuum - considered posting the SW one a while back, but now that he made a GTS one I'll link them all - no process as such in the photos, but Alice nonetheless.

He's got a few more size-related pics in his gallery as well - check it out!

This isn't much, but here's something that was just posted on an Alice in Wonderland movie fansite. If you want to keep up with as much Alice in Wonderland movie-related news as possible, I have three pretty good websites to recommend (even though I doubt they'll have any updates for the next couple of weeks).

The schedule for Disney's D23 Expo says that new footage of Alice in Wonderland (among other upcoming Disney films) will be shown on September 11th at 11:00 AM. I'm sure we can probably expect that same footage to hit the internet shortly after that.
