Hm, it's like an accelerated version of how those things are supposed to mature, from little tadpole parasites that take over and metamorphize a host.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines sequel is supposed to come out 2020 too.

Not just "a 20-year-old RPG" but one of the best videogames of all time. :D It's an interesting sequence, apparently the speed at which it happens is tied with the plot and part of the threat/mystery of this particular illithid invasion. Colour me intrigued.
