AP/AR preview-theories-expectations
 

I would like to create this thread in order to know in advance which TV series/manga/anime/game etc. will have its own TF scene...you just expose your theories about it and done.

For example:

- In the Fairy Tail Manga, in the Giants' Village, there are multiple ARs and APs in the consecutive battles...
The anime in the other hand is right now in the equivalent of 334th manga issue...and almost every episode covers 2 issues...
The first AR starts in the 344th issue...that is all.

- In the new Sailor Moon Crystal there is a chance that the Black Lady that popularized this whole fetish returns...and there is a chance that she will have a complete reanimated transformation :D

-Stupid theory incoming: Tokyopop is reairing the animated comic version of Sokora Refugees...if it gets popular enough... the issues may keep going...

Well, if Sailor Moon Crystal continues long enough to get to the Chibi Usa episodes...the current run is supposed to be 26 episodes so I doubt they will get to Sailor Moon R material unless they really skip a lot. I guess it depends on how much money they make on toys and anime goods this time around...:)

Among the ongoing anime series, my AP instincts tell me that "Captain Earth"

might have one in the near-end episodes. Currently in the series, they are

showing us that the leader of the villians is a little girl named "Setsuna". This

means she will probably end up as the final boss of the series. If this is so, I

can imagine a scenario where she absorbs the power of all the minions, who

will likely be all dead by the end, or reveal her true power and transform into

a mature form. I say this because I've rarely seen an anime series putting a

little girl as a final boss against a male protagonist in fantasy genre.

I suspect that this is usually because a male protagonist fighting a little girl

as the final boss reduces the seriousness for the climax of the series.


Just a theory though. :D

Speaking of Captain Earth, I always thought Hana would AR in the future episodes and I'm not even sure why. Her character is kinda spoilery later.

The limited edition of the 12th manga volume for the series "To Love-Ru

Darkness", which is planned to be released this upcoming December, has

been announced to include 3 OVA anime episodes (maybe in a DVD CD or

something). If they are doing this to promote the production of the 2nd

season for the anime series, there is a high possibility that the episodes might involve

events with Nemesis' shapeshifting ability as a little peek. This is because the 2

nd season, if it happens, will start covering the manga from chapter 18, where

they start focusing on the character Nemesis and her shapeshifting ability more.

My god you have such interesting theories :D I will keep an eye on those animes...

What you have said about Sailor Moon makes me upset...that Lady gave the AP a lot of weight I think XD

I can't recall any anime remakes that had the exactly same sequence of

events from the original one especially if they are limited in episodes. They

often skip a lot of insignificant events (For Sailor Moon, it would be the daily monsters)

because they have to compress the main story within limited episodes

(A recent example would be "Yozakura Quartet: Hana No Uta").

I would say they might probably rush a bit and finish the plot of the first

season of the original "Sailor Moon" by the 12th episode,

and cover "Sailor Moon R" within the rest 12 episodes.

Great news! An anime adaptation of the manga series "Magical Girl Lyrical

Nanoha Vivid" has been announced just this August! Since the original series

mainly features Vivio and her friend named Einhart transforming into their

adult battle forms to fight most of the time, it is guaranteed that they will get

their own animated AP transformation sequences in the anime adaptation :)

Not to mention that the quality of the TF sequences will probably be amazing

considering that anime series of Nanoha has been popular for their

transformation scenes and has already featured two AP sequences in the 2nd

and 3rd series (Hayate into Book of Darkness, Vivio into her adult battle form).


Boy, am I happy to be still alive to see this happen. It's just a matter of time

now.

This might be some sort of illusion of mine but I also read that they were going to remake the book of darkness series or some thing like that...Probably we will see again hayate's transformation one more.

The only thing I dont like too much is the change from hayate's transformation to Vivio's... look how growing process is censored in Vivio's but not in Hayate's...I know nanoha isn't precisely for adults but I cant help but fear censorship as it happened in the neptunia anime...(Focusing much more in clothes appearing rather than in actual growth)

Still I have high expectations for this, thanks chris, as always
