Are they shrinking and turning into monkeys in that last shot? If so I'd like to find the episode if you happen to know it.

EDIT - Well they do shrink, but into Little People cavemen.

This subject has been alluded to before, but does the "devolution" concept ever involve what appears to be a human "devolving" into something outside the homo sapiens family tree? My first thought goes to Princess Peach "devolving" into a dinosaur.

There's an ep of Star Trek TNG that involves the entire crew of the Enterprise devolving into various things. And an episode of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command has a blue female alien devolve into a puddle of living goo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tRa71PdCN4

Well, there's this episode of the unending BE Addventure:

Isane Kotetsu of Bleach, ends up devolving into a Gorgonops. There was an option where she devolves further into one of the earliest therapsids; while another branch of the storyline has her "re-evolve" into a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
