Alice and the Ouija Board

NB Alice is in the Mia Wasikowska mode - young woman in her early twenties.

First four frames. New ten frame sequence below

Nice! Could use a bit extra frames in between though

Very nice shrinking sequence.
Add a few more and you could make an animated gif of it.

Greetings

Interesting idea Captain - I think I would need to start afresh carefully building frame on frame.

Here's a more detailed version.

Misogyny is not something I have typically seen in a depiction of Alice in Wonderland.

That's because Mr Ogyny won't let her do stuff. :(

So glad to show you another dimension to the tale.

Thank you for giving me an idea for the name of my misogynistic spirit

@ at board in general

It's difficult to do a twenty frame shrink sequence (I have a further ten in progress) - now I don't think I'll bother.

I must just say that it is possible to have misogynistic characters and not be especially misogynistic oneself. Just as having anti-semitic characters doesn't make Shakespeare anti-semitic.

Most men hide a streak of misogyny as a left over from adolescence when in order to make the transition from the female house to the mens' a boy must to some extent hate the women of his previously cosy billet. Many men don't get over it, but oddly remain attractive to women - read 'The Men Who Hate Women and the Women Who Love Them'

The underlying misogyny of the original Alice comes to full fruition in the Disney 1951 version where the indignities inflicted on Alice from rabbit hole to the ante-chamber - especially being dumped on her arse twice and pushed into a bottle. This always from 3 years old intrigued me and gave me a frisson. This gave me the idea of a mischievous spirit controlling things.

I just have to say that this piece has many faults including one frame that has a completely inconsistent Alice. I am not a graphic artist, I just draw freehand. It took a great effort and there is not one response offering unalloyed praise or encouragement for at least trying. I am greatly hurt by this. No wonder there is dirth of work - why should anyone take the risk?

Someone hasn't seen any of the few hundred pornographic adaptations.

LOL. Tru dat.

@chesya - I didn't actually realize you did all this freehand. That's pretty impressive. My freehand drawings usually look like shit.

And yeah, lack of feedback sucks, but it's long been a problem with stuff like this. SW at times seems especially bad for that.
