La Luna Sangre (see? I knew the Philippines wouldn't disappoint :) )

There's an upcoming Filipino television series called La Luna Sangre (Blood Moon), featuring Kathryn Bernardo as the half-werewolf, half-vampire protagonist. It's a sequel to the earlier series Lobo (2008) and Imortal (2011). Trailer here:

Judging by the 1-2 second peek at the werewolves, we can see there's been a significant improvement over Lobo and Imortal. It's still CGI but it's something.

I've always suspected that the Philippines harbours a hidden treasure trove of female TFs - aswangs, Ang Lihim ni Annasandra, the snake/naga TF in Shake Rattle & Roll, Dragonna among others - and this is yet another happy discovery.

La Luna Sangre premiers in June. Stay tuned.

Thanks for sharing. Something to look forward to regardless of the effects Always nice to see women on all fours. ;-)

Nice finding. The only thing that was a bit underwhelming was that it seems that there will be fully clothing TFs (I assume that sadly their clothes will come back magically on the revert). But thanks for sharing, we will see what happens to this :).

In Lobo, the heroine morphed with her clothes on, then reverted naked (you actually see some butt in a couple of scenes - seems Filipinos are less inhibitive than Thais when it comes to nudity). In Imortal, the heroine morphs while ripping out of her clothes, then reverts naked. In Annasandra, which IMO is one of the best so far, the heroine either takes her clothes off or rips out of them while changing into a pig in a cage or every time there is a full moon, and of course reverts in the nude. And there's plenty of it. And did I mention that all of the women in these scenes are hot?

Let's have some faith in this. Fingers crossed!! :)

Here you go :)

I don't speak Tagalog so I don't know what the actor is saying, but yes there is a distinct possibility that (tasteful/strategic) nudity will be involved.

Minor update: La Luna Sangre will premiere on 15 May on Primetime Bida and TFC. However, if they keep up the trend in Imortal and Lobo, we may not be seeing any TFs till a few episodes in.

Also, the girl in La Luna Sangre is a hybrid vampire-werewolf - the daughter of a werewolf mother and a vampire father. Let's hope she changes into a werewolf more often than a vampire.

Here's a poster

Bit of news from ABS-CBN, the TV studio behind this, featuring a quick interview from the director. She mentioned something about working with CGI and "lobos". Wish I could speak Filipino so I could understand the rest of what she's saying.

I understand English and Spanish, but the parts in Tagalo (the largest parts) are a complete mystery for me... and they keep on mixing the three languages all the time!!! :D
