It's a movie, not an episode. You're missing nothing. There's cuts to a fat bearded man handing her the child and a reaction shot of him that can only be described as "dull surprise", and the child laughing before the other woman covers her chest. This scene isn't mentioned again, a few mins later it flashes forward to the child as an adult and there's no other process/magic in the movie.
