How much would you be willing to pay for a 40ish pages tf comic?
 

Hi there! My Patrons from Patreon already know it, but I’m working on my very first paid tf comic!

It should be fully colored and it should be around 35 to 40 pages long! Up to now, I have done the linework of the first 20 pages!

My question is : how much do you think I should ask for the color version?

I know it sounds weird, but I really don’t have any idea if how much my work may have for value!

For forty pages?

Hmm.

You'd want to ask more than most comics that are going around, but you also wouldn't want to price yourself out of the market...

Depending on quality, you could possibly charge as much as $15, but you'd get more sales at around $10.

For 40 pages, it would be a lot of money to be worth your time, but more than I think most people would be willing to part with. Is there any way to cut out the fluff or make it a series of some kind?

I priced my last tf 50+ full colour tf comic at $5 American. I took a loss and only made £100 English money. I just wanted to see if I could get paid. been making much more doing custom projects for others.

...how the hell did THAT happen? 5 bucks for a really long full-color comic should've been a steal.

that's just how it goes sometimes. all depends on who is willing to buy.

Yeah that’s tough I mean if your expecting to make $200 to $300 on this unfortunately it’s not gonna happen even with a a bigger page comic. I thought about doing it myself since I draw but I diecided to Uber instead lol I make a lot more than a comic for sure

Quality is key, but based on the possible page count, I might be willing to pay up to $20, give or take $2.

well I have completed 11 comic\sequences each 30ish pages long. I have about 48 ideas for stuff to come its just having the time to work on them. ^_^;

as for back grounds I dont do them so much. since I feel they get in the way of showing process.
