A great stone door begins to descend. Overcoming initial trepidation Prof Sai races into the Process Forum Labyrinth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ui85HwTX1s

On the back side of the door, is an ominous warning, "Beware the Minotauress"

Ignoring both the warning and the first opportunity to turn Sai continues to the end of the initial corridor and turns left. Sai does not have to travel far before being forced to turn left and is confronted by another choice, the second of no doubt many more. Before Sai there are two corridors that both turn left.

The good Prof knows that it is the initial choices in a labyrinth that are critical. Perhaps the first choice was a grave error, a tiny voice said in Sai's head. But it was quickly banished. Sai would not let self-doubt creep in. After checking to see if there were any signs indicating which path other might have followed and finding none Sai decided.

to continue straight ahead taking the inside path
or
take the outside path slightly to the left

Damn, I forgot to look down that first passage I went past. I backtrack and see what is visible that way.

Sai backtracks to see what is visible that way, and sees a corridor approximately 20 meters long with a possible opening to the right. To find out for certain Sai would need to travel further down the corridor.

It is indeed an opening. She peers around the corner, knowing that to her left would be a dead end, she continues right. The corridor then about faces, Sai follows it until it would either serpentine right or straighten. Sai decides to

follow the serpentine path
or
proceed straight ahead
or
Retreat to the minotauress warning to strategize.

"Turn right" would have done that.

If your intent with the directions was to go around in a circle, all you would have accomplished was to wind up exactly where you started.

I used your directions only at decision points you got as far as Goes down, map right, then up, right, up, before your Blueberry Transformation. - Perhaps next time you won't go running off. That's how people get lost in Labyrinths.;)

To get back where you thought you would be I will assume you wish to roll down, right (to where you were before the last move and you "Turn right".

At the door would you like to go left (map down) or right (map up)

Prof_Sai 03-11-2018 02:21 PM

Re: Let it be: Randomy three!

Yes, that is how running in circles usually works. I was also yelling and pulling my snakes out.

I go right, (map up).

genderhazard 03-11-2018 04:09 PM

Re: Let it be: Randomy three!

Well, the snakes are all gone now. At least there is that.

The Prof goes right, and see that the path before her immediately turns left. The corridor is slightly wider than the others have been and the floor is inclined to forms a ramp. Sai begins to pick-up speed as she rolls toward an outside corner that she sees upon each revolution. She reaches out for it.

Someone other than Sai: does she grab the corner and hold or grab the corner and slip continuing to roll forward?

I am waiting one hour then I am flipping a coin.

Sai reaches out to grab the corner. Unfortunately, her handhold slip continuing to roll forward gaining speed as the ramp continues to descend. She bounces off two walls before slamming into a dead end where she is transformed once again.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRaCAX0Szr0

Dizzily, Sai climbs back up the ramp to where she had missed the handhold she grasps the corner, still woozy. That is when she an notices the hair on the back of her hand.
What the--. She surveys the rest of her now distinctly male body and says in a baritone voice...

Next move choice is left or straight

I don't understand. How did I end up facing right? (You didn't tell me this in the last page.) I think you are confusing map right with subject right. I said I was using map right before. I also notice:

Quote:

The Prof goes right, and see that the path before her immediately turns left.
This isn't possible unless you are mixing up the two kinds of coordinates. You've never included instructions on which direction I ended up facing, so I had no way to know how you would interpret left and right. When Vicky and I played, we went strictly with map POV and there were no problems.

http://www.process-productions.com/f...1&d=1520846596

I marked the area where I went in a circle. There is a gap where you never described where I was. (and a second, where the Medusa was.) So I don't understand how I could have gotten where you say I am, and facing that direction. Compare your map with mine. Do they match.

And finally, your maps don't show things I ought to be able to see, like how far hallways I don't enter extend. Please check out how I did it with Vicky.

I'm not, I think you are lost in a labyrinth. It is a common occurrence. (your map is wrong).

You are missing sections where decisions did not need to be made.

Turned Right - Followed the dead end path turned into BE Medusa

You were asked

Quote:

Do you then turn right or travel to the end of the corridor?
You replied

Quote:

Goes down, map right, then up, right, up, left, up, and left.
No decision needed to be made to go around the "T" the bold is as far as you got before the blueberry transformation.

You rolled to the spot before you "ran off" and turned right then went right, (map up).

(you do not have this section on your map see post 139)
With no decision to be made you followed that path picked-up speed, missed a handhold rolling to the eventual dead end of that corridor and transformed into a man. With no other option, you walked back up the ramp to the hand hold that was missed which presents an option. left or straight?

Prof_Sai 03-12-2018 03:45 AM

Re: Let it be: Randomy three!

But now that I'm a man I have to argue and be stubborn. And you can't not show me places in the map I've been.

A man would be able to SEE the part of the maze she is in. I retrace my steps back until I get to the part where I started my circle from, using handholds as needed.

Rather like debates, the person in the maze isn't someone you are trying to defeat. It should be more like a dance, where one may lead the other, but harmony is the objective.
