A Chinese Mystery?

Hi there,

Browsing dA recently, I happened by accident upon an intersting account by a dA member in her journal which might interest some users here, though it may take a little explanation.

The essence of the mystery is that a dA user discovered a Chinese? show on TV. The episode she watched concerned a girl, overweight, who discovered a old, secret potion which would grant her a slim body. This works, but is unstable, with her transforming between fat and thin. This causes all kinds of problems as she tries to negotiate the world between her fat and thin persona's. The full journal is here http://shehulk21.deviantart.com/jour...4735/#comments with all the details.

The mystery comes from the unfortunate fact that the dA user could not discover the name of the show, episode or other details. What was discovered about the show's identity is in the journal for the curious, though I bring it here in case anyone may have enconutered or heard of it, among our membership  .

Thanks,

Alchemical Night.

All I have to say is whoever find this Chinese drama/movie will get ALL the props in the world. I've been posting stuff about it in other forums and no luck. I think posting here we probably have better luck. Let's hope. :)

I'm on this.
The latest update is such that we can no longer rely on "Chinese" as a definite descriptor of this movie since the OP from DA does not actually speak or read Chinese. It is some non-disclosed Asian Pacific country.
We have an airtime but no channel. It aired on 2/23/10 and ended at 11PM China time. I've asked him some more questions on DA to help narrow it down.

Well....yes.
But this is about some potentially cool process material. Granted, his credibility maybe somewhat...questionable, but I think we should make an effort to try and find this thing for at least a little while.

I've tried looking up the schedule from the date of the post

I've gotten to that page before. If it's any one of those, it'll be the program simply titled "SD" at 22:00 on 2-23. It fits with the time the movie was reportedly watched. It could stand for "standard definition," especially since it's in Western characters. I've tried to email the station and ask what it is with no response. Perhaps if we spam them they will respond to one of us?

You know....that's not a bad idea. :D Should we start something? I'm with it to find this movie/show.
