Sexual Chemistry - A Community Classic?

Hi there,

For those not familiar with the topic, my usual introductions will, I hope, be illuminating as I consider what has always been a curious case for me since I first discovered it, and which continues to occasionally stir my intrigue today :o.

The movie "Sexual Chemistry" (1999) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0206285/ was a work I discovered by accident circa 2002, and even a decade later it continues to strike me as one of the more curious, singular efforts which court our interest on the forums.

The movie itself is, I've often felt, a chimera of sorts; a mingled conflation of genres which attempts comedy, parody and sometimes simply the conventions of "pron", as the expression goes :o. In all, it can be seen as an attempt at a Jekyll/Hyde send up - it's alternate title being "Dr. Jekyll & PMS" apparently - possibly informed by 1995's "Dr. Jekyll & Ms. Hyde" and 1996's "The Nutty Professor" remake. In this, a eccentric chemist experiments upon himself; the results bringing a gender bending transformation into a attractive blonde whenever he is feeling aroused, and seemingly vice versa too.

I would be curious to hear or know if others in the community have returned to this work, as I have, and if they happen to harbour any feelings or views on this curious piece of TG media which occasionally surfaces in our circles.

Thanks,

Alchemical Night.

I actually have the movie in my arsenal and find it Hilarious how he tries to control his changes. However though I kinda found it short in time and for plot....at the moment I can't seem to find the right words to explain how I feel about it but hopefully will.

Was this ever put out on DVD or are there any ways to stream the film online? I've heard positive things about it and have been searching.

Huh, I'd never heard of this movie until now. And odds are I'll never get to watch it since it's not at my library or local video stores. Oh well...

You refer to it as a sex comedy and well, that sex part really needs to be emphasized. This is a 25 minute story with an hour and 10 minutes of sex scenes, softcore I guess you could say because they never show anything truly explicit but there is A LOT of sex in the movie.

I managed to watch the entire thing because I was curious how the story developed and thanks to all the skippable intercourse (seriously you can find regular old porn anywhere) I can report it's lighthearted and maybe worth a watch if you just want to see a feature length TG centric movie.

Unlike Dr Jekyll / Ms Hyde though it has no budget at all , the transformations are depicted as simple actor swaps and quick cuts and the acting is pretty amateur. For how little material there is of this nature it may be worth a watch anyway. I can't think of more than a half dozen movies that try for a similar plot.

So thanks for digging it up alchemical night.

amazing how non girl and girl it was, considering that it would be the first thing a softcore porny thing would jump to.

Incidentally, I saw this movie on the shelf quite often at the Blockbuster near my home. Haven't seen it though (save for one scene online, in a restroom when the transformed blonde was checking herself out...very nice, might I say).
