TG Corruption Contest

I am currently hosting a contest over on deviantart with a theme of Reverse-Corruption. This means instead of changing a hero into a villain its the other way around. We will be accepting both art and writing entries (including captions) and the deadline is March 15th.

As far as prizes they are split as follows:

1st: $150
2nd: $75 + a commission from the lovely DangerCatt
3rd: $50 + a commission from the wonderful Rezuban
4th: $30 + a commission from DangerCatt
Also two random entrants will be given $15

If you havent seen Danger-Catt or Rezubans work than look at their galleries here:

Look at the official journal for more on the rules and such. I do hope some of you can join!

Let me know if you know of anywhere else I can promote this event as well.

Interesting, but you are putting a serious handicap on writers. 2000 words isn't enough if you want a decent transformation AND to establish an villain, particularly a obscure one or an OC.

5000 words I would understand, but 2000 just isn't enough. I understand not wanting to read all day but you have to give us writers some flexibility.

The limit is actually supposed to be 2500. I can talk with the other judges and attempt to negotiate 3000 but the word limit was decided as a group. Judging a writing piece is a little more complicated than an art one where the whole thing is visible in a single place. Allowing longer pieces would also drag out the judging process.

So...if the submission is a drawing...the artist must do it only in a single page?

If someone wanted to draw some sort of mini-comic of 2-4 pages, would that be against the rules?

No that would be fine. Max of 6 pages.

I'm assuming this would be the same for a render sequence?

Thank you for your quick response.

I shall try my best to write a story that fits into the word count.

I guess so. Honestly as long as you aren't submitting an entire books worth of material it should be fine. Quality over Quantity and whatnot.

Yeah... about that, my last sequence was over 80 pages. I'll try to tone it down.
