BEArchive login issues
 

For several days I cannot login into BEArchive from any of my devices.

Login attempts display the following message:
And emails to webmaster@bearchive.com go unanswered.

Also opened ticket.

Some people encountered this issue only from some of their devices and posted in a thread. Unfortunately, those that have a workaround don't push, and those that don't cannot post.

Can anyone who is able to login help raise awareness?

Their old.bearchive.com domain is 403'd as of today as well. Wonder what's up.

I had a similar problem.

I couldn't login all the way back on Thursday. The message first said something like "if your password was created before 2015 you need to reset your password". I tried resetting it, but never got an email to create a new password. I didn't think it was a big deal, and that I should just wait a few days and it'll be fixed. I was sure something similar had happened once or twice before.

I tried again a few days later and got the same message as you. Even if you aren't logged in, you can view the forum (but can't see attachments). It seemed like there weren't any new messages in most of the forum after around the time I couldn't login. A few people were posting, and commenting on ways they managed to barely login by going to chat or something. It seemed like there was a giant login problem.

Now if you go there, there is no forum at all. It gives you an 403 error, and if you work back to forum.bearchive.com/ , you get an Amazon Web Services page for a server that has not been set up yet.

It would be kind of a shame if the whole forum was lost again. This is like the third or fourth time in 20 years. Tons of people, information, attachments, all lost each time.

First view suggests something is way off with their systems administration based on http://forum.bearchive.com/

BEAddventure is down too.

The site worked for me till yesterday. Now all I get is the

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

when I try to load a forum link or a BEAddventure site. It would be such a shame if all the stories are lost.

Looks like old.bearchive.com done gone and got itself retired. Supposedly BEAddventure is still up, you just have to register at http://bearchive.com/ to not get 403ed.

Now, if you will ever get the confirmation email to actually make registration possible is the question, given the other posters in this thread talking about their issues with bearchive. I haven't tried yet.

I have an account on http://bearchive.com/ but logging in does not solve any issues with either the BEAddventure or the forum.

I have the same issue like lurker. My account was created back in 2016 and I´m logged in. I still get the error message.

Adama, the admin of the BEAddventure portion of the site, has said elsewhere that the BEArchive admins are working on things -- they didn't give him any kind of time estimate, basically just said to be patient.

My account is from something like 1998 and I refreshed it years ago. Meeesa gots noooothing.

Well, it looks like at least the BEArchive Addventure side of things is back up and running now. Dunno about the rest.
