FMG & Sailor Senshi: A Question of Repression

Hi there,

I will admit freely that the title is a curious one, and I will endeavour to explain the nature of this inquiry as clearly as I can.

Related to a earlier thread "Venus de Gamma" http://www.process-productions.com/f...ad.php?t=29961 , I was considering the issue of the Sailor Senshi, of Sailor Moon fame, having something of a hulking alter nature in a idea I am composing, though to no certain end as yet.

Still, though maybe a little odd, I would like to ask the forums as to which senshi, be that their civilian or warrior persona, is the most repressed, suppresed or denied; as ascribed to their history, circumstance or nature as we find them.

Though I find this question particularly interesting, I have also included a survey for those who do not wish to tangle with the question too deeply, though all opinions are very valued :).

Thanks again,

Alchemical Night.

Agreed, and why not have each of em hulk out based on their elements

Seconded.

Another thought, you could as well do em more like She Hulk where they retain their Intelect and such, and to go on the Elemental Hulk out it could be like a Super charge of their power, resulting in a Hulkification through magic, sorta

That was sort of the idea I wanted to portray on that story I started...
I know I only described the first hulk out and only for Sailor Venus but my idea was to make the hulk out triggered by the magical transformation for each Sailor Senshi, and have each she-hulk retain an extreme persona, like in Mina's case she would be a self righteous narcissist that still cared for her friends. My writing is not that good but I may eventually continue that story as soon as I have more time and the will for it.

Alchemical Night, could you clarify if you're asking after opinions on the manga or anime Sailor Senshi? Their characterisations are noticably different in the two media, Venus and Mars in particular.

Most of us think of the anime, so he probably means that.

I actually only know the anime too, but I did see something about the manga when researching the wiki for that story I wrote.

Hi again,

Firstly, thank you to those who contribute as they wish; the data is proving both interesting and compelling.

To answer the question raised by Ficfactor, and echoed by lock and hexen in their understanding, that is a salient issue, and I will clarify.

In regards to the depiction of the senshi, I am referring to the anime; as it was through that medium that the franchise found widest diffusion with the fans. Though, I am a fan of the manga too, I would say the most generalised experience of the characters is tested, thus it would be the anime, and not the manga :).

Thanks,

Alchemical Night.

Anime it is, then.

Re: FMG & Sailor Senshi: A Question of Repression

You sholuld consider doing each senshi a different colored hulk, as a reflection of their power. For example below
Ami: Blue skinned Hulk
Minako: Orange Skinned Hulk
Usagi: White/Grey Skinned Hulk
Rei: Red Hulk
Makoto: Green Hulk
