Twinning
 

I've been putting this off too long, here's a transformation that deserves some attention and that I can't find a huge amount of (although I'm sure there's loads about). Twinning (in the definition I understand) is the process of one woman replicating herself either through the transformation of another into a copy of herself or through the splitting of herself into multiple parts (sometimes resulting in size change or splitting into 'attributes', eg. the teen titans go! episode set in raven's head or the Immonen run on hellcat). I've found a few different examples of it, but of course I want MOAR! :P

I know the second one's not strictly twinning, but it's still an awesome sequence, check cluedog's pages for the other two parts of it.

I'm a massive fan of "twinning" myself. My favourite example is probably Arania's Tenchi Trilogy, which you should be able to find here:

It seems like such a hot idea, I'ma try to find some work based on it.

Ok ummm on hand only one I remember is this cool Evangelion fic where Ritsuko makes Shinji a clone of herself, and another one with him becoming an Asuka-clone as well. Not quite through physical contact like described through.

There's an artpiece where Shinji/Asuka become identical Rei twins but I cannot find it now.

If I find my way back to it I'll post the pictures but another comic along these lines was titles "Self Indulgence" in Phil Foglio's XXXenophile comics. Lost among the detritus I call a file system, I'm afraid.

(I do remember most of Phil's XXXenophile comics though. He's a favourite of mine.)

There was a story sequence on where people were turned into exact clones of the same sentient rat. For example, when a husband and wife are both infected, they happen to be in a police station, under interrogation in separate rooms. Given that the rat is taking over both their minds, they are able to give perfectly corroborating answers despite not knowing what the other one is saying. It was actually a pretty clever use of the concept.
