AR in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
 

During the Season 3 season premier a commercial was put out for future episodes to come. In it we clearly see Twilight using magic to turn Applejack and Rarity into Foals. Whether the whole episode is centered around that is unsure but I for one cannot wait. Will post youtube link when its uploaded.

I was going to post the info of this AR clip. Too slow, I guess.

Anyway, I'm not sure if it would be in the episode of the "Magic Duel", but I have a suspiction about another possibility. Check that the ones turned into fillies are Applejack and Rarity, and both of them have a little sister, Applebloom and Sweety Bell. Maybe this will be the classic story about big sisters and little sisters complaining about which one has the easier life. So Twilight, trying to teach them a leasson, uses her magic for a "age switch"; turning Applejack and Rarity into fillies, then Applebloom and Sweety Bell into teen ponies. That would be interesting, don't you think?

They kind've had that already when AJ got shrunk in "Bridle Gossip" and had to be carried around by her "little" sister.

I wish that were to be the case but its not. You can clearly see two Trixie Statues in the background seconds before the transformation happen. The only episode she will be appearing in is in 'Magic Duel'.

Though this would lead me to believe that:
(SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ IF YOU WISH NOT TO BE SPOILED ON THE UPCOMING EPISODE)

After Trixie has won the magic duel against twilight she will go mad with power and thus starts doing magical shenanigans to the citizens of ponyville if they try to stop her. Being good friends of Twilight obviously AJ and Rarity put their hoofs down against Trixie but she obviously regresses them. Notice the dark pinkish clouds and the Twilight that regresses them. Those don't look natural in the scene; that only looks like Twilight regresses them but that might not be the case.

AR could be only tip of the iceburg. There are some talk of Fluttershy turning into a dragon in a future episode. My guess is that whoever tries to stop Trixie in changing Ponyville gets met with magic to supress them. AJ and Rarity's case, regressing them to fillies. She could easily turn Fluttershy into a dragon, which she is deathly afraid of. That just leaves Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash.

This episode shows promise of transformations to the mane 6, even perhaps background ponies. Time will tell...

I am 90% now sure it will be Trixie that ARs them. In this past Saturdays episode we saw a scene they used for the commercial. The scene showed in the actual episode was different than the one used in the commercial. This highly looks like the case in the AR scene where its only meant to look like Twilight is regressing them. This leaves me with two points:
1. Trixie will regress AJ and Rarity.
2. If true then she will abuse her magic to transform any other pony.

Excitement for this episode has increased by 20%

From everything I've seen/heard it is likely the age regression will be part of the Magic Duel episode as will the early released background shots of Ponyvillie in ruins. A per-released updated Trixe model sheet seem to imply Trixie found a magic amulet to boost her power. Knowing the pattern MLP goes Trixie will being to menace Ponyville with her magic after beating Twilight, Twilight will have a vision of Ponyville in ruins under Trixie's rule, then emboldened Twilight will challenge Trixie to a second duel most likely destroying Trixie's amulet in the process and unlocking more of her own magic power.

What are the odds that one of the ponies is going to end up human?

Not saying I want to, but considering we've got AR, Fusion and Growth in one part of this episode already, it would be hilarious if Fluttershy got turned into a human hybrid and then cried out in terror.
