Himouto Umaru Chan (Illusion AR/RN)
 

Himouto Umaru Chan, one of the new anime series for this July, features a

high school girl named Umaru as a heroine. Umaru, who is usually a perfect

role-model girl and a student in the public, turns into a completely childish,

lazy, and carefree girl at home. When she does so however, the change in

her behaviors is so drastic that it causes an illusion of her becoming a small

toddler that matches her indoor childishness. But whenever she decides to be

serious or mature, the illusion wears off, and she grows back into her normal

appearance of a high school girl. The scenes where she changes are

animated with process, at least from the looks of the first episode~ :)

Some of you might argue that this is more of a chibification, but since it

involves somewhat of a mental AR as well, I decided that it is an illusionary

AR.

Makes me really hope they can go a little further with the processes throughout the series

The only bad thing is that the character is kind of loli, but still, a "further" process would be very welcome

Considering a cast member considers her small form a separate person, its more then an illusion. But this is more chibi then AR.

Still its an awesome manga. The anime is doing nice too.

Chibification also often includes mental ar. This just like the hard boiled episode of abenobashi is just chibi. Nice try though.

Was there ever any other AR or processes of note in this show because I never heard anything else of note after the first couple episodes aired
