You've probably already seen the sequence from the story, "Humanoid Tears" by Hasebe Kazuyoshi(?)*, that I'm showing three pages from: it's been around on the 'Net in Yahoo!Groups and the like for years now. I've tracked it down as having appeared in the compilation D-Cup Collection, volume 4, the cover of which I've also shown. (And good luck locating this one -- it was published in 1989...)

* either he has done manga since under a different name or there's someone later with a similar style, because I feel like I've seen this person's work elsewhere...

There's a second BE sequence in another story in the set called "Doping Girl"**. As near as I can make out, the hapless main character is on the school swim team. The obligatory sinister medical figure (the team physician? the school's doctor?) floods the school with a gas called "DEPS-76A", which knocks out all the students and teachers... except, of course, our innocent victim. The 'doctor' had some time earlier dosed her with something called "Madamoiselle-D": its interaction with the gas keeps her conscious and produces the effect we see here. I won't reproduce the whole story (unless you really want it), but, being the kind of story this is, the doctor chases her down and has his way with her. She has her vengeance on him at the end when he informs her that he has no idea how to change her back...

** I'm not finding one of the artist's name kanji in my references; given that the name has only three kanji, I'm wondering if it's a Chinese name...

I cannot say that I have ever seen those before. Nice find! I think the first one, was the same artist who did one of the stories from fraction. Fraction 5 I think. Just chect it out at that thread. You'll remember it.

I highly doubt that they are using a chinese dialect for the doctors name. Seeing that most japanese people do not know chinese. Probably a more traditional form of japanese characters. But hey, I do not know that much japanese in the first place.

If it is not too hard, can you post the whole second story, unless it is waay too long. Then I would not worry about it. Look at me, I tried to post a 30 some meg manga once. People were whinning to no extent. (I want it, because it looks good enough to translate the important parts.)

The artist

Hey, lurker joining and posting for the first time. Thanks for those brilliant mangas Old_Chestnut. I think the artist for "Doping Girl" is YOKIHI the creator of the transgender manga "Flexible Kid" a manga about a highschool kid who changes into a girl everytime he gets a certain "feeling" for other guys. Well maybe I should post this in the transgender forum 555+.Well just to let you guys know the artist. Oh by the way, would you please mind posting the rest of the story "Doping Girl" Old_Chestnut. Thanks a million^^

I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the story, it seems interesting. ^^

Um, I actually have the actual manga with me, but apparently I don't have a scanner. I found the manga in a second hand book shop near my place a few years back. By comparing at the art style of Doping Girl with Flexible kid, I say Doping Girl was YOKIHI's earlier works because....Flexible Kid was published in 1993.

Dang, you're right, Sutibaru! It sure does look like the same guy who did the 'Ivy and Tammy' manga (one of my favorites -- I wonder if anyone has more than just that excerpt).

I meant that the artist uses a Chinese name (which acme has identified as 'Youhiki'). I tried "Flexible Kid" on a search but turned up very little; the one site that identified the artist gave the name as 'Yuhiki'.

OK, since everyone asked nice 'n' all (and I finally had a chance to sit down to this), here's the rest of the pages. The first one comes right after the title page and the rest come after the sequence I already posted. (If your browser has one of those "balloon" gadgets that shows the file names, you'll see that all the pix are numbered sequentially. Most of the pages are numbered as well.)

*snickers*
Even though I'm not a porn fan, I just love the way that turned out, with the psycho victim pulling out a chainsaw...

Sutibaru 09-20-2005 04:53 PM

Thanks a lot.

Well it looks like it is easy enough to translate. I am not certain I can do it, but I will give it a try.

"Youkihi" is the Japanese reading of Yang Gui Fei, a legendary Chinese noblewoman.
