Actually, it depends. Look at, for example, vitamins and minerals that you eat on a daily basis. Did you know that of the vitamins, the only one that your body can dispose of quickly and neatly is Vitamin C? All the others can be disposed of over time, but you can quite literally overdose on any others and suffer side effects because of it.
The kidneys work better than anything humanity has been able to manufacture, but that doesn't mean they can instantly remove absolutely anything.
