Re: Michael Crichton dies at 66
I read the Jurassic Park book.
Any given dialogue would go like this:
Alan Grant: Aha! The dibonucleicic acidic is forming a chain reaction in the muated genetic code, ionizing the factoid patterns and stabilizing the elcetrons!
Ian Hammond: But wouldn't that mean that the photosyntetic branch of the energizers would be reconfigured until it can no longer compensate for the mucuous alchalines?
Alan Grant: Well, if the genetic reaction produces a mitosis that accelerates the flow of white cellsd up to a point when the genetic code rewites the carbon cells and the electrons reconfigurate to match the calcualted patterns, taking in account the mutations produced by the branch of hydriofolic...
and on, and on. It was nothing but technobabble.
And it's more disgusting. In the movie, the Spitter spits a venomous dart at Dennis Nedry that poisons him and kills him. In the book, he spits acid, openbing his stomach wide open and letting him see his bleeding intestines escaping from his body.
So, the true master behind the magic of Jurassic Park was Steven Spielberg.
