I've managed to use my ATI All-in-wonder card to send out a TV signal (of my computer screen) to itself, and record itself to my hard drive as if I were watching TV. I don't recommend going out and buying one though. There are better video capture devices. Just figured I'd make another useless post.
Mattariel's suggestion is better.
