Because it is not seen as a sexual content.
If Peach grows, if Tinker Bell grows, if even Ginormica in M&A grows... they're not conveying sexual content, and the audience is not supposed to get even slightly aroused but to laugh about it (it also happens in "Dude, where's my car?" where the giant sexy girl is nothing more than a clown). The mainstream audience may find cool a girl who becomes huge, but they'll forget it after a few seconds.
We, instead, get (even slightly) aroused, and we'll not forget a girl who becomes huge.
Giganta by DC comics *MAY* be an exception, but you wouldn't say that female muscle growth is widely accepted just because She-Hulk exists, would you?
