I have to admit, I was one of those people. Banner's TF from the 70s show used to freak the shit out of me when I was as young as 2, 3 or 4. That set up us the bomb, so to speak, but I think what lit the fuse was the ending of Incredible Shrinking Woman. Those bastards were on their way to the best damn outgrowing of footwear scene ever and the movie suddenly ends before anything but a few rips gets into the sneaker. Hey, maybe all this time I've been just waiting for that shoe to finaly burst open and the rest of her to grow. How allegorical.
