honestly the hardest part to get right is the pre-production work in photoshop. personally I keep the work area in both photoshop and aftereffects as clean as possible. I have it as bare bones as I can get it. From the screen caps regalia showed it can look a little daunting. All you gotta do is start off small get the basics down then work up from there. You could prob learn the program in about a month maybe 2. Will you be as good as regalia prob not but you could come close.
