Also, you say aftereffects is simple, but it looks like something that would take at least a few months of determined, in-depth use to learn.

Right, honestly I only know enough about after efftects to make it do anything at all; the most complex action I've ever done in it was apply a mask with, maybe 16 vertexes~ Everythig is else has been either a "move postion" "rotate" or "liqufy". I agree that it would take along time to learn. The best way I can describe After Effects is: It's like what you get when you mix Photoshop with Sonic Foundry; it all layers and tracks...and instead of music you somehow get a movie.

on a related note, i can't get the first 2 (the 2 of the same pic of that girl in a bikini) to download properly.... i do the exact same thing on all 4, but the last 2 run all the way through and the first 2 both stop about 2 seconds in and just freeze.... anyone have any pointers?
p.s.- obviously the process is the most important part, but the way you made the sleeping girl yawn and sit up-- i nearly came from pure craftsmanship.

I'm glad you like them, however it is much to my displeasure to hear that you're having a complication playing the gifs. Try opening the gifs with firefox or internet explorer if the operating system has trouble playing it; sometimes the "preview" can be currupt during a save or transfer, at least that's How I believe it happens becuase I've had the same problem with some gifs before.
Heh, Getting her head to turn around was a bit tricky..but it seems getting her little "wtf" moment in there paid off.

----reads up--- yes a student discount is available but I cannot upgrade a discounted purchase.. that sucks.. Oh well... back to Gimp. I wonder if there is some kind of freeware that can be used like Aftereffects, like Gimp is to Photoshop?...

I had to take advantage of a student discount for these programs, and they aren't up to date anymore. I'm afraid that I'm uncertain if there is a "gimp" of after effects. At least I haven't searched for one, sorry about that.
