Aside from the final boss and the 3 uruboros bosses, all other enemies are strains of las plagas mixed with other viruses known in the series. The word majini is simply the term the African locals used to describe the las plagas outbreak. Plus, the game seems to place emphasis that uruboros is not injected, but an airborne virus, which is why [SPOILER] Wesker plans to dump the virus into the atmosphere to distribute it..
