Oh, that's true to a large extent. A lot of humor is built on practical type jokes that are funnier if you are not the victim. Sometimes, though, you can even laugh at your own falls and stumbles. And other times, you feel for the person hurt, like in the clips you linked. Maybe it's because I'm really tired today though? But a lot of it is in the execution, the delivery, the timing.
And it's still a personal thing.
